It is better to catch them in the summer, when the sturgeon, like a white fish, is active, bites well on various baits, which should be placed on the bottom, because it is a bottom-dwelling fish and is not found on the surface of the water.

Fishing is successful using float or bottom tackle. A special feature of sturgeon fishing is the use of bait only of plant origin, preferably with the addition of garlic for scent. Sturgeon prefer a reservoir depth of up to 3 meters.

The fisherman is required to use large soft baits due to the fact that the sturgeon has a large mouth. The fish simply won’t notice a small bait, and they won’t even approach a hard bait.

The sturgeon feeds on dead plants.

According to fishermen's opinions, complementary food should be of high energy value so that the sturgeon, even after it has eaten, cannot quickly tear itself away from its favorite food.

When catching sturgeon, some fishing features still need to be taken into account, and many beginners worry that they will end up without a catch. But not in the “Fishing Village”. Trout

Trout leads an active life in water dissolved with oxygen; it prefers to feed at water temperature + 20 degrees. This is a rather fastidious fish, due to the peculiarities of its behavior and living conditions, the village has a special trout river with constant aeration and flowing water to maintain optimal conditions for the habitat of this fish.

Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy fly fishing for trout or rent the necessary gear. Trout can be caught well with spoons, wobblers, float rods or spinning rods. This is a cautious and sensitive fish. Any foreign objects or noises can startle you.

Attention should be paid to the equipment. The fishing line should be no more than 0.25 mm in diameter. Float weighing up to 12 g and quite shiny hooks to attract fish. Trout is considered a strong fish, and certain skills are required when landing it.

It is good to use spinning reels. The peculiarity of fishing is that trout often rise to the surface of the water and often behave intensely. But the teeth are sharp and can quickly bite through and even break the fishing line.

Carp

Carp is a heat-loving fish; it feeds actively and intensely only at + 15°C. In a fishing village it usually bites from May to September. Traditional carp fishing is carried out using a float, bottom fishing rod or fly rod with a spinning reel. Fishermen manage to catch carp weighing up to 10 kg.

But the features are in the equipment. The fishing line should be no more than 0.2 mm in diameter; the float should be sliding and quite sensitive and bright. If the equipment is incorrectly selected, catching carp will be problematic.

Carp is a bottom-dwelling fish and does not bite in cold water. It is better to fish in the reservoirs of the “Fishing Village” with a fixed rig with 3 weights of different sizes at once: the smallest one located at a distance of 7 cm from the hook and two more powerful ones for fishing for restive carp.

“Fishing Village” uses special feed for growing and adapting fish.

For bait, anglers are recommended to use earthworms, maggots, corn, peas, and also combined baits.

Carp fishing in reservoirs at VDNKh is intensive almost all year round and does not depend on natural environmental factors.

Prohibitions

• You must have a license to catch fish. Fishing is prohibited without a license. Issued for one fishing rod. Up to 3 fishermen can fish per license.
• Fish cannot be released back into the river . Only when catching trophies over 6 kg can you release the fish (but only undamaged) back into the reservoir and receive a reward in return from the administration.
• Children under the age of 12 are allowed to fish for free and can fish accompanied by an adult for one license.
