Unloaded rubber for pike

What is unloaded tires?

Unloaded rubber (hereinafter referred to as unloaded) are silicone baits without the usual lead weight. They are mostly equipped with an offset hook. The advantage of unloading is, first of all, that it can be carried out where most other non-hooking baits will not fit.

In Russian conditions, the main object of such fishing is pike. She is the one who loves impassable bushes, underwater thickets and other impassable places. It so happens that a vibrating tail or slug is mainly used as a silicone bait, my experience was no exception.

Now there are a lot of different forms of bait on the market, the horizon for testing and experimentation is free.

Next summer I will definitely try large crustacean silicone baits.

If the main object is a pike, then the unloaded size should be appropriate. The most popular lure lengths I have on our local reservoirs are 4 and 5 inches. It’s not worth making it smaller, and it’s problematic to throw a 3-inch bait over a sufficient distance, because for “strong” places it’s better to use cords that are not thick enough for children and far from ultra-light spinning rods, which in turn will not allow you to cast light baits far.

A four-inch vibrotail can have a mass of 5-6 grams (beginners often do not take this into account when fishing with jigs, paying attention only to the mass of the lead weight, giving a noticeable overload to the rod).

You can also add a lot of leash and offset hook here, this will add a little more weight.

Rating of the best models of edible rubber for pike from the site on-fishing.ru

To simplify the choice of rubber lures, you should familiarize yourself with the rating of the best models that are available on the market.

Tenth place - Crazy Fish Powertail

The bait belongs to the class of edible rubber and is highly effective. It can be used when pike activity is low or in the fall. But in order for the twister to bring the expected result, you need to use the correct wiring technique. It is advisable to use a uniform method of baiting, fishing at different water levels.

When choosing tires for pike, it is important to consider many factors and criteria. First of all, you should take into account the current weather conditions, the specifics of the reservoir and the behavior of the fish.

It is also necessary to pay attention to seasonal features, because... they play a large role in the activity of pike and determine its bite

Ninth place - Reins Bubbling Shaker

The product is versatile and can work well in any fishing conditions. When using medium-sized bait, you can catch both small and trophy pike. Wiring with dragging along the bottom is especially effective. The main thing is to pause and play along slightly with the tip of the form so that the predator cannot resist.

Eighth place - Molix Freaky Rock

Unlike classic vibrotails and worms, this model has the shape of a crustacean. To make the bait play beautifully in the water, it is enough to use classic stepped wiring. You also need to take pauses, because these are the times when the pike attacks its prey.

There are different color options available for sale, but the size is limited to the 5cm option. For a long time, the crustacean was used only for sea fishing, but it began to be actively used for catching pike, pike-perch or perch. If you've never fished with crustacean lures before, give this one a try.

Seventh place – Aiko – Eel 3″

Aiko - Eel 3″ is a catchable vibrating tail that works well when fish activity is low. The advantages include a long service life and efficiency during periods of poor bite. The bait is also very soft and has good aerodynamics. There are no obvious shortcomings, with the exception of frequent bites of small pike. There is a possibility of catching a trophy specimen, but this happens extremely rarely.

Sixth place - Molix Ra Shad

A catchy model that should be in every angler's arsenal. Externally, it is a vibrating tail made of rubber with excellent play. The tail of the bait performs chaotic movements with different amplitudes, forcing the predator to be active. In the process of manufacturing the vibrating tail, the manufacturer tried to create a high-quality imitation of the behavior of living prey and he managed to do this in the best possible way.

The bait has excellent elasticity, so it demonstrates a beautiful game even with weak wiring.

Fifth place - Reins G-Tail Saturn

The model is very popular among spinning anglers, as it can attract even sluggish and passive pike. Sometimes anglers have to use up a whole pack of baits in one trip to a pond. The predator can be caught with any existing options, including dropshot, “Moscow rig” and microjig.

For wiring, it is better to use a classic step and suspenders with sharp jerks.

Fourth place - Keitech Sexy Impact

Since its founding, the Keiech company has been releasing high-quality and catchable baits to the market. The Sexy Impact model is a clear confirmation of this. The edible rubber worm has a fitted body and a small tail. It is treated with salt and an attractant with the smell of octopus. For pike fishing, models measuring 9.6-12 cm are used, but when searching for trophy prey, you can choose larger options. In addition to the toothy predator, this bait can be used to catch perch, pike perch, asp and even peaceful inhabitants of the depths.

Third place - Aiko - Magic Grub 3″

The vibrotail is characterized by improved aerodynamic properties, so it can be delivered over long distances from the shore. The material used is quite hard. This allows you to cope with several aggressive bites from trophy pike. In addition to its high efficiency, the bait is also affordable.

Second place – Bait Breath – Bugsy 3.5″

The model is produced by a famous Japanese brand and is in great demand. In terms of external properties, it is similar to a centipede with a tail from a vibrotail. The bait demonstrates an attractive game with any type of retrieve, so it is especially interesting for pike.

What to catch

The weight of unloaded baits is only about 10-12 grams, but the tackle, despite this, must be strong. It must be said that sometimes up to 500 grams of unnecessary greenery is collected from the bottom, which significantly adds weight, so it will be problematic to pull out even a small pike.

It is best to use bass multiplier series of spinning rods, which have a test weight of 21 to 28 grams. Such rods are designed for this type of fishing, so they can withstand a certain weight. The length of the element should be from 2.1 meters to 2.3 meters.

The spinning rod should ideally be such that, after hooking, you can safely deliver your fish to the shore and not get caught on snags, get tangled in plants, or collect all the greenery from the bottom along the way. If this does not happen, then the fish will probably get away or simply break the line.

If you don’t want to use “multi”, it is recommended to pay attention to fashionable options, including the option for twitching, where there is an excellent reel with a size of 3000-4000.

As for fishing line, it is advisable to use cord. Although experienced fishermen often resort to fluorocarbon. True, in this case their fishing takes place within twenty meters. In this case, the elongation is the smallest.

Important! Fluorocarbon is a wear-resistant material, which is why many anglers prefer it.

Although, if you can’t buy one or just don’t want to, then a cord will do. As for the diameter, the cord has this mark, according to the Japanese numbering PE 1.5-2.0, and for fluorocarbon it is optional. This can be a cross section of up to 2.5 or up to 3.5.

Particular attention is also paid to the choice of leashes. They should be such that ideally they do not collect grass, and if they do collect it, then in the most minimal quantities. This is possible due to the absence of protruding fasteners.

Leashes made of string show good results. True, some fishermen complain that the element clings to dense grass and bends, and this sometimes leads to the fact that the part cannot be straightened and has to be thrown away.

If desired, it is possible to use fluorocarbon with a cross-section from 0.5 to 0.6 mm. True, after each bite you should definitely check it and see if any burrs have appeared. If such were noticed, then the element needs to be changed.

How to fish correctly

Fishing with silicone requires a special way. The reason is that if there is no load, then during a pause the bait begins to either sink or freeze, like a suspended wobbler. In this case, non-loading can be carried out in various ways. This includes an even game, twitching, and stops combined with sudden movements. Experienced people say that the last two methods work best, because they encourage the fish to start biting.

It is worth noting that the color of the bait should be noticeable. It is better to give preference to light green, green, orange or red.

If weak bites are noticeable, there is no need to take any action, you need to wait a little and give the fish the opportunity to see what is being offered to it. Usually after “empty” bites the really effective ones begin.

Lunker City Swimfish 3.75” and 5 , as well as Bass Assassin Turbo Shad 4, as silicone baits for unloaded fishing . Regardless of the type of fishing, they will come in handy because they are made of high-quality silicone, which guarantees safety in the event of snags and false bites. In addition, they have a “heel” that ensures excellent play.

If you decide to fish with swimfish, then it is advisable to put it on the offset rig sideways to reduce the number of “empty” bites. At the same time, the visibility of the element will improve.

Beginner fishermen can start trying to fish with an unloaded rubber band on a small river in order to somehow get a little used to such bait. Over time, you can even move to a body of water with a current. If you don't rush, everything will go well.

Advantages and disadvantages of fishing with edible rubber

Spinning fishing with rubber has a number of significant advantages and disadvantages compared to many other artificial spinning baits. One of the important advantages of silicone is its affordable price. Catching many species of predator involves difficult conditions of the bottom topography and the presence of vegetation, which causes frequent losses of baits, making them consumables, which the fisherman sooner or later has to come to terms with. The loss of silicone is not considered a catastrophic event, as in the case of the loss of an expensive wobbler, and this gives an advantage to the more frequent practice of using this type of bait in cramped, but promising conditions for the presence of predators.

The realism of the simulator's game can be safely attributed to the second important advantage of rubber. Few baits can boast of these qualities on regular even retrieves.

Therefore, silicone is recommended for beginner fishermen who are just mastering spinning fishing techniques. The presence of an attractant in silicone only increases its attractiveness to predatory fish, and manipulations with odors help the spinner to hunt for a certain type of prey, based on its preferences when choosing a natural prey.

For an objective assessment of the product, it is worth focusing on a number of shortcomings that should be taken into account when using edible bait in order not to get into an uncomfortable situation in real fishing conditions by noticing the loss of the main working qualities of the bait. First of all, you need to know that edible rubber has a certain shelf life, after which the attractiveness of the nozzle is lost

Even when containing silicone in sealed conditions, within a couple of years the bait dries out and becomes brittle or loose, losing elasticity and odor intensity. In addition, it is recommended after each bite, and subsequently fishing, to check the silicone for critical damage and, if any, change the tool, because soft material is susceptible to destruction not only from the grip of the fish, but also from the constant interaction of silicone with the hook

Installation of unloaded equipment

The entire installation of this equipment consists of attaching an offset hook to the fishing line, onto which a silicone bait is attached. To catch pike, a metal leash must be installed between the fishing line and the hook.

What about the sinker?

In an unloaded rig there is no sinker, and casting is done only due to the weight of the bait. However, a loaded offset hook is often used - this allows you to move the twister or vibrating tail a little deeper and faster.

An offset hook with loading may look like this:

Offset machine with loading

Loaded hooks are sold in different weights, but you can make them yourself from a regular offset hook and tin wire (solder wire without flux). You just need to wrap it around the shank of the hook.

Options for self-loading the hook:

Helpful advice:

For fishing with unloaded equipment, it is better to use edible rubber. The pike bites become more greedy and it does not throw the bait for a long time after grabbing it.

Why is this a cool rig option?

  • unloaded bait sinks slowly and provokes pike
  • no weight and offset hook allow you to do wiring in the grass
  • pike attacks always look spectacular and occur almost on the surface

The ideal time for fishing with unloaded rubber is summer, when pike spend a lot of time in the grass.

You can learn more about unloaded rubber and installation from the video:

Installation of unloaded rubber

Installation of unloaded rubber on a pike implies the presence of the following components:

  • the bait itself (most often a ripper, worm, slug, less often shad, crayfish);
  • offset hook;
  • leash;
  • connecting fittings.

Installation on a regular offset press

The most standard and common method of installing unloaded rubber. It is good to use baits with already prepared slots for offset, as well as offsets with fastening springs for greater strength in mounting the bait, which is especially important for delicate edible fish.

Cutouts for offset

This installation can be used on grass, jugs and among surface snags.

As bait - worms, slugs, driven rippers.

The most suitable equipment when a horizontal component of wiring is required with a minimum of vertical.

When using floating rubber, you can achieve wiring in the very top layer of water.

Rigging unweighted baits on a weighted offset hook

Weighted offsets are used when the bait needs to be slightly deeper. For example, to pass under a layer of continuous duckweed. Using a jig head or cheburashka in this case is not appropriate - the main advantage of such equipment is lost - non-clinging.

Also, a loaded hook may be needed if you need to increase your casting distance. It won’t give you a big gain, but often 5-10 meters is already a bonus.

You can make these types of loaded offsets yourself, for example, using a piece of lead, solder wire or a small pellet

Using weights

The use of weights (special bolts-screws without a head) is justified in cases where it is necessary

vertical component of the wiring at a minimum distance. For example, this is justified when fishing in windows among water lilies.

The algorithm is as follows: casting - splashdown on the water lily - pulling the bait from the water lily into the water - and the bait seems to dive under the water lilies - wiring - tighten the silicone onto the water lily and everything in a circle.

If such a bolt is screwed into the back of the bait, then the game will change to a chaotic yaw. This option also occurs under certain conditions.

Selection of offset hooks

If anyone has not yet fished with unloaded rubber or with a jig, then I will briefly say that in most cases, when fishing in hard-to-reach places, where there are a large number of hooks, offset hooks are used, since the shape of such a hook allows you to hide the point of the hook directly in the body of the bait. In general, in terms of choosing offset hooks, anglers can be divided into two camps - those who use inexpensive hooks, due to constant snags, and therefore inevitable breaks, and those who use not the most budget offset hooks. Here it all depends on the fishing conditions; if there are a lot of hooks, then fishing with expensive offset gear is very expensive. Using my own example, I will say that on the river where I fish, there are no snags, mostly grass. Yes, even if there is a snag, it is safe to get to the snag because of the shallow river, so I try not to skimp on offsets and use sharp hooks from the Japanese company Varivas, the Hooking Master Light Class series, and the more powerful Hooking Master Heavy Wide, which have already been tested for more than one season. The hooks are similar, the difference is the thickness of the wire. Accordingly, I use hooks from these series with various silicone baits, namely Light Class (light class) with soft “rubber” up to three inches (7 cm) and Heavy Wide (heavy, wide) with large rubber from three inches or more. Since we are talking about baits, let’s move directly to them.

Principles of fishing with light weight

Fishing with unloaded rubber is very spectacular and full of adrenaline, because most of the bites occur in full view of the angler! Watching with your own eyes the swift attacks, “candles” and the fierce struggle of a pike caught on a hook is a pleasure that can’t be compared to anything else! In addition, this type of non-snagging bait is affordable, extremely catchy, and in the right hands it outshines all kinds of spinnerbaits, Croatian eggs and spinners with snag-proof hooks.

For this method, any rubber can be used that you can throw normally and control when retrieving. Since pike often attacks baits whose length is slightly shorter than its own, I usually use fairly large models with good flight characteristics. I consider the Keitech Swing Impact Fat 4.8 vibrator tail to be the standard bait for catching pike with a light weight. This extremely successful model is copied by all and sundry, and I must say that in this case the replicas work quite well. Twisters with a large and soft tail, such as the Action Plastics 5″ Super Mag Grub, also brought me good results.

There are many ways to insert unloaded rubber, and in fact, the animation of this type of bait is limited only by the angler’s imagination. The bait can be baited with Stop & Go wiring, evenly, and some models can even be twitched, like a wobbler. I was able to achieve the best results by driving the unloaded rubber under the very surface in such a way that its moving tail left marks on the water surface, or vice versa - slowly dragging it along the bottom. By speeding up the reeling and helping with the rod, you can always make the bait surface and slide over a carpet of algae or other surface obstacles. When fishing in heavily overgrown areas, it is often possible to achieve a bite by stopping the retrieve and allowing the neo-weight to fall through the “window” between the vegetation.

Unfortunately, the success rate when fishing with light weights is almost always low. This is explained by a large number of pike misses and the presence of only one hook hidden in the soft body of the bait. Many annoying derailments can be avoided if you use a rod of medium or medium-fast action, which will dampen all the sharp jerks of the toothy fish, preventing it from jumping off the offset machine during the next “candle”. Also, the spinning rod for fishing with light weights should not be too short. In this case, I recommend following the principle “it’s better to overthrow than underthrow.” Nothing bad will happen if the bait falls on the other shore - on the contrary, by dragging it into the water, you can immediately get a bite from the pike standing under the shore. If you don’t throw it there enough, you simply won’t catch this pike. I really liked fishing with unloaded rubber using a Black Hole STERH S-240 spinning rod with a test weight of 5 to 25 grams. Thanks to its viscous action, it quickly exhausts the fish, forcing it to spend all its strength on overcoming the flexibility of the blank. In addition, this rod has a power reserve sufficient to fight a large trophy.

Proper installation of silicone on an offset hook affects both the number of bites and their implementation. Pressed against the body of the bait, but in no case stuck into it, the tip of the hook should be directed in the opposite direction from its tail. If your neoload rotates around its axis or moves to the side when wiring, it is most likely not mounted correctly. If the bait sinks too slowly and unevenly, rotating as it falls to the bottom, it is advisable to use an offset hook with lead soldering, or place a small weight in front of the bait. A little advice in conclusion: by using thick wire offsets, you will not only increase your chances of fighting a trophy, but will also achieve a more stable performance of the bait. Depending on availability in stores, I fish both classics from Decoy and the relatively more budget-friendly KOI Magna Super Lock Worm.

Choosing Braided Cord

Nowadays, most anglers prefer braided cords than monofilament or fluorocarbon fishing lines, so we will talk about the cord. The choice of braided cord is an important factor and must have certain characteristics, since fishing on a heavily overgrown river is difficult and requires some important characteristics from the cord. The first thing you should pay attention to is which cord to choose, four-core or eight-core. Of course, 4-wire. I had a bitter but instructive experience of fishing with 8-strand braid. Bitter in the sense that such braids did not last even a season, since the “eight-core” ones are afraid of abrasive and quickly become unusable. Especially with constant contact with grass and other abrasive, since the threads from which the cord is woven are thinner than those of the “four-strand”, respectively, and such a thread breaks more easily. Yes, 8-core cords are more sensitive, but in fishing with unloaded rubber, sensitivity is not the most important criterion when choosing it, the main thing here is abrasion resistance and reliability, because the pike often has to be dragged straight through all the grass and the strength of the cord comes to the fore.

There is no need to reduce the thickness of the cord, I do not recommend going below 1.0 PE (0.17 mm) according to the Japanese classification, but it is better to use 1.5 PE (0.2-0.21 mm), with this diameter of the cord the grass is no longer so scary, and even when biting a trophy “toothy”, the power of the “one and a half” is enough to prevent it from going into the grass thickets, and thereby speed up the fishing without any problems. A cast of 100 meters on small rivers is sufficient, since casting range is not as important as accuracy. My casting usually rarely reaches even twenty meters; often all my fishing is short. If we start from inexpensive models of cords, I can recommend the budget company Akkoi and their series of Mask Ultra X4 cords with a diameter of 0.18 mm, although in practice the cord is clearly thicker, and in all respects fits perfectly into the fishing conditions.

Spinning

For fishing in difficult conditions, you need a proven and quite powerful spinning rod, which should not let you down in forced fishing. First of all, you need to pay attention to the class of spinning rod. I repeat that it won’t be an easy walk along the shore, and every pike bite is a test of the entire tackle as a whole and the spinning rod separately. I would recommend paying attention to the Medium Light (medium-light) or Medium (medium) class. Such rods have a reserve of power in the butt, which allows you to speed up fishing through all the thickets of grass without fear of the spinning rod. At the same time, the test for baits of such sticks weighs up to 20-25 grams, which, in principle, allows you to make good casts. That season, for these purposes, I purchased a Maximus Manic 20L spinning rod in a test of up to 16 grams, but in practice the spinning rod turned out to be much more powerful. The wand is perfect for these fishing conditions - the power reserve in the butt, good casting and a length of two meters are optimal for fishing on a small river. Although the casting range, of course, is not large, since one vibrotail weighs little, and medium-class spinning rods are not designed to work with such weights. But to increase casting, you can weight the offset hook with a light Cheburashka up to three grams, or purchase special weighted offset hooks.

Fishing conditions

I don’t note any restrictions or certain conditions in fishing with unloaded tires. Because you can throw it wherever the fisherman’s heart desires, even into the thickest of grass, and there this equipment will work if a predator is standing in such places, and it is definitely there, especially on hot days, hiding from the scorching sun. You should not pass by “windows” of clean water among thickets of grass, even if it is a meter by meter, it is in such places that pike often hide. In a few hours of fishing I may not be able to put on either a wobbler or a spinner, since unloaded rubber is at first glance a very simple solution, but it has significant advantages, namely: there are a lot of bites on it, high cross-country ability, where other baits have no competition, imagination in animation, budget in case of a break. In general, the equipment has enough advantages to try it in action.

Unloaded tires for pike - Top 5

For fishing with unloaded rubber, vibrating tail baits are suitable, having the shape of a fish measuring 70-100 mm. Among the top lures of this type and size, American lures take the lead.

Mann's Predator 70mm

  • Lure length: 70 mm.
  • Weight: 14 g.

At one time, it was the Mann's Predator 70 mm bait that served as a role model for the production of countless Chinese counterfeits. Available in a variety of color variations.

Relax Copyto

Another American product with similar characteristics is Relax Kopyto, which is also shaped like a fish with a hoof-shaped vibrotail.

A feature of these two vibrotails is their relative resistance to damage by the teeth of a predator. Compared to cheap Chinese-made rubber bands, they can withstand 5-7 bites.

Mikado Tsubame 11.5 cm

The Japanese lure Mikado “Tsubame”, 11.5 cm long, also deserves attention. Particularly worth noting is the article M519, perch color with a red tail - an indispensable choice for pike. Additional advantages over American lures are that Mikado lures have a luminous core, which attracts pike in low light conditions.

Kosadaka AWARUNA 75

Kosadaka lures are sold in sets of 10 pieces, which can be purchased for only 175 rubles. The cost of one silicone fish from a Japanese manufacturer is 23 times lower than that of an American one, with similar strength characteristics and catchability. Color to choose from.

Silicone baits from Aliexpress

The bottom line of the top 5 ranking is occupied by baits purchased by the vast majority of fishermen on Aliexpress or from resellers who have flooded the departments of sporting fishing stores with Chinese products. Typically these products are not identified by the manufacturer's name. But, thanks to the low price, variety of colors and shapes, it allows you to choose a very catchy “elastic band” and change it after 2-3 bites.

Types of non-hooking hooks for pike and their features

Today, there are several types of non-hooking baits that allow you to fish the most inaccessible and, as a rule, very promising areas of reservoirs. These are non-hooking lures for pike, various jig baits and unloaded silicone with a hidden hook point, spinnerbaits and gliders.

Non-snagging spinners

Oscillators with wire protection are simple and affordable. The hook is protected by antennae made of thin wire, the fish grabs the spoon, the antennae compress and the sting opens.

Combined non-clinging vibration oscillator with twister attachment

Advantages:

  • non-hooking spinners for pike are used with a single, double or triple hook;
  • passes through thick algae, snags and other obstacles without snagging;
  • simple protection, easy to make yourself.

Magnetic protection is only possible on oscillating spoons. A magnet and a single hook are installed on them. After a predator attacks, the sting sticks into its mouth. Advantages of magnetic tackle:

  • Pike fishing is possible in reservoirs with dense vegetation;
  • The hook on the spoon is not tightly secured, so the percentage of bites is high.

Sometimes you can find interesting hand-made spinners for pike from craftsmen.

No-hook jigs

Those who love jig fishing use silicone baits on an offset bait: twisters, vibrotails, slugs. The hook is hidden in silicone, so this gear is not afraid of any obstacles. The predator's bite crushes the soft material and the hook is released. Offsets are sold in stores, so you can make a non-hooking jig with your own hands.

The first non-snagging jig baits invented by anglers were foam fish with a double. In them, the hook fits tightly to the bait and does not interfere with movement. The pike grabs the fish, the foam shrinks, and the predator becomes prey.

Unloaded tires

In addition to the classic jig, you can also catch pike using unloaded rubber with a hidden offset hook. For this, all kinds of silicone baits are used, but without the front part, which allows them to be carried along the surface of the grass.

Spinnerbaits

Another type of spinning bait that can be classified as non-hooking. However, spinnerbaits are not so universal and allow you to successfully fish only in snags. In thick grass this bait is ineffective.

Glider - bait for fishing on the surface

In summer, ponds are overgrown with grass. To catch pike with a spinning rod, gliders are used. The bait got its name from the word glisser, translated from French, to slide. This tackle was invented by Russian fisherman K.E. Kuzmin and conducted the test in 2000.

Read: Preparing tackle for catching asp using a bombard

Gliders have a three-dimensional shape and are light in weight; they glide over the surface. The vibrations created attract fish. They are made of plastic, with a hook and weight securely hidden inside. In shape and appearance, the bait imitates frogs and small rodents.

Frog

Soft bait frog, similar to the living queen of the swamps. Inside such a bait there is a double and a weight, and the stings are tightly adjacent to its silicone body. The baits are made so realistically that there is no point in using the old method when pike were caught with live bait. At the moment of the bite, the soft material is crushed, and the sharp stings are released and dig into the predator’s mouth. Fishing for frogs using gliders is very effective in densely vegetated water bodies.

Croatian egg

The main feature of the bait is its ellipsoidal body with a hook pointing upward. The sting may be protected by antennae or a latch. No matter how you throw the egg, the hook will always take the same position, being above the surface of the water. The abdomen will slide over algae or grass.

Real baits are made from balsa, a hard wood. Length from 4 to 7 centimeters. Weight is 7-15 grams. Officially called Bumble Lure, they are produced by Branimir Kalinic. The name Croatian egg appeared after a fishing competition in Croatia.

Gliders are sold in all sizes and colors and are used in different bodies of water. Quite effective bait for catching pike.
