Despite the ubiquity of paid reservoirs, there are still people who categorically refuse to visit them. The logic here is simple: why pay for a pond when you can go to any free river and fish to your heart’s content. Let us allow ourselves to disagree with this statement and give several arguments:

  1. Paid ponds are always teeming with fish. Here people help nature by artificially increasing the population, so fishing is guaranteed to be successful and of high quality.
  2. Banal amenities. Man has been fishing since ancient times, and then conveniences were alien to him. But now, we are all accustomed to the benefits of civilization, and it makes no sense to give them up.
  3. Inventory. Not all fishermen are avid fishermen and do not keep a huge arsenal of gear at home. If you don’t have a dozen fishing rods, lures, groundbaits, no problem; when you come to a paid reservoir, you can rent all this.
  4. Environmental Safety. No matter how sad it may sound, modern rivers and lakes are not clean, especially in the industrial Moscow region. And paid ponds are always clean, since their owners take care of the cleanliness of the reservoir.

And this is only a small part of the benefits of fishing on a paid pond. In addition, today in the Moscow region there are several hundred specialized sites that provide everyone with fishing, trophies and a high level of comfort. It is very difficult to choose one specific site, and we decided to make this task easier for you by selecting 10 of the most interesting options. Our rating includes both bases with and without accommodation.

The best paid fishing ponds in the Moscow region with accommodation

Accommodation ponds are full-fledged tourist bases where you can come for a few days and stay in a cozy house somewhere in the forest. An unforgettable vacation in itself, but first of all it’s fishing, which you can enjoy around the clock. You can safely go to such bases with your whole family or friends. They are also great for corporate events and business meetings. In the lap of nature, in silence and away from the bustle of the city, it is much easier to make important business decisions.

Rules for fishing on paid reservoirs

There are several types of rules according to which fishing is carried out on paid sites.

  • Travel for a while. The owner of the reservoir provides the fishing participant with a place for fishing, stipulates the ways in which fish can be caught, and the types of fish that are allowed to be caught. In this case, fishing is carried out within a period of time, usually set in hours. It is profitable to fish on a paid site during those hours when there are not so many people there, since the price during this time is usually low.
  • Catch of a certain weight. Fishing is carried out throughout the day, but the catch should not exceed certain limits. If one fish is caught especially large, or you want to continue fishing after reaching the limit, this is specially discussed. When fishing, you need to be confident in the result, otherwise there is a risk of paying for a ticket and not reaching the limit, or catching very little. It is often practiced on platoons that have been stocked with juveniles in order to allow them to grow a little.
  • Buy caught fish. A fisherman can fish as much as he likes using the permitted methods, but he must put all the fish he catches in a fish tank. At the end of fishing, the fish is weighed, and the fisherman is obliged to buy it at a certain price, usually slightly lower than in the store. Most widely practiced. Usually, when a catch of a certain weight is exceeded, the limit is counted towards the purchase.

  • Caught - release. Contrary to popular belief, releasing caught fish into a reservoir is not a very good idea, and most of their owners agree with this. The caught fish is usually injured and begins to get sick, infecting other inhabitants of the pond. In addition, it can scare away a large flock from a fishing spot, depriving all fishermen of their catch. When fishing, certain rules are stipulated. For example, it is forbidden to use double and triple hooks, hooks with a barb, to take the fish in your hands and use only a lip grip, to use a net with a soft mesh, to be sure to use an extractor to remove the hook, etc. Such restrictions are especially strict on trout fishing grounds near Moscow , when fishing for sturgeon species.
  • Catch as much as you want. You can come to a paid reservoir and catch as many fish as you like, taking the place allocated for such fishing. However, not all types of fish are allowed to be caught, but only certain ones. Thus, on most carp fishing grounds you can catch crucian carp, roach and perch without restrictions, and on trout fishing grounds - pike and rotan. It also happens that the pond is going to be drained before cleaning, and the owner may let several people fish according to a certain pattern, allowing them to take out any fish they catch, or giving such permission to officials as a bribe. If you catch a fish that is not included in these conditions, it will need to be purchased by weight, but usually at a higher price.

Ask a Question

The listed fishing rules are usually not found in their pure form, but are practiced in combination with each other. So, for example, on most paid sites, fishing takes place within a specified period of time in hours, at the end of fishing you need to buy valuable species of fish, and you can take trash fish with you without restrictions.

The best paid fishing ponds in the Moscow region without accommodation

Accommodation bases are more expensive, which is not surprising. And for people going fishing for the day without an overnight stay, it simply doesn’t make sense to overpay. They don't need a house or a hotel room. Enough gazebos where you could drink tea and relax, and most importantly a pond with an abundance of fish. There are a lot of such lands in the Moscow region. They differ both in the level of comfort and in the availability of additional services. It is impossible to say for sure which base is the best, so we have selected five options at once, providing the most varied services, but first of all these are paid fishing ponds, and only then everything else.

From January 1, paid fishing was banned in Russia. What is it really like?

From January 1, the rules for paid fishing have changed in Russia.

Starting from the New Year, paid fishing in public waters has been officially abolished in the country. According to the law on recreational fishing adopted in 2021 (475-FZ), agreements for the use of fishing areas were valid until December 31, 2021.

Komsomolskaya Pravda looked into why the organizers of the fishing business now have the right to take money and for what they do not.

PEOPLE'S WATER, PRIVATE Gazebo

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations Nikolai Nikolaev emphasizes that the law provides free access only to natural bodies of water. If a person bought land, dug a pond on it and raises fish in it, then he has the right to charge a fee for fishing.

“Access to water that belongs to the country should be absolutely free,” says Nikolaev. “But no one forbids providing services to fishermen: renting out gear, fishing pavilions, and so on. At the same time, businessmen should under no circumstances abuse their capabilities - allow fishing only if they rent a boat, for example. When offering services, they must explain that access to the reservoir is absolutely free and free, if, of course, you have your own fishing rods. And people, in turn, must understand that even though fishing is free, they cannot use other people’s property for nothing.

— Is it legal to charge a fee for renting a bridge near the water?

— If this berth, which is registered to a company or individual, is owned, then the owner has the right to charge a fee for the use of his property. But it is not forbidden to sit next to this bridge and fish for free.

— What should a fisherman do if there is a fence around the pond and they refuse to let people in for free?

— In case of illegal actions, first of all, you need to contact Rosrybolovstvo.

— What threatens entrepreneurs for failure to comply with the law?

“I assume that this will be regarded as illegal business activity.”

— Businessmen specially release fish into paid ponds. It turns out that now anyone can catch it?

— Is this launched fish signed or microchipped? If it is an open body of water, no one will determine whether it is a local fish or an introduced one. Such controversial issues are always interpreted in favor of citizens. The activity of breeding fish for sale is a different story. Those who are engaged in aquaculture have every right not to allow fishermen onto their territory. But a person is not obliged to pay for fish caught from lakes and rivers.

The new rules provide free access only to natural bodies of water.

PREPARE FOR FINES

Professional fisherman Maxim Shishkin believes that innovations have created problems for both business and the anglers themselves.

— Entrepreneurs have very big problems now. Those who improved the reservoirs, released the fish, and made sure they weren’t knocked out, don’t want to give away any free access. Because a huge amount of money has been invested in this! - explains Shishkin. – Business is now trying to resolve this issue in its own way. Some are negotiating with local authorities, others are preparing for fines... Personally, as a fisherman, I don’t want to go to free reservoirs where, firstly, everything around is dirty, and, secondly, there are no fish there at all or too small.

“THIS IS A WILD INJUSTICE!”

The President of the Federal Union of Fisheries, Vladimir Petrushin, has ambivalent feelings about the law that has entered into force.

“It’s good that the agreements for the use of the fishing area for recreational and sport fishing have expired,” he sighs. — In 2011, the first auctions for the distribution of fishing areas were held. And some “dark forces” treated this process very unscrupulously. Without changing anything, without improving the area in any way, they simply blocked the best places, reservoirs, sections of rivers with a barrier and charged a fee for the opportunity to fish in places where people from time immemorial had done it for free. So, for example, it happened with the famous Ozerninsky reservoir in the Moscow region. And there were similar examples in almost all regions. A wave of popular indignation swept across the country. Now this disgrace is over.

On the other hand, conscientious entrepreneurs suffer, says Petrushin.

“Business has improved many reservoirs, and now they are simply told: “Thank you, now citizens will fish here for free,” continues the head of the Fisheries Union. - This is wild injustice! And, of course, there will be no fish there. As soon as people find out that you can fish for free on a good pond, they will kill fish there in 1-2 days. This is not a fairy tale - the reservoir must be regularly stocked with fish.

Many businessmen found a way out of the situation by re-registering their main activity as “fish farming.” At the same time, they will continue to provide paid fishing services.

Reservoirs

It is difficult to briefly outline the main types of reservoirs in Russia that are interesting for fishing. These could be trout mountain streams in the foothills of the Caucasus; quiet, unhurried tributaries of the great rivers of Central Russia; intricate watercourses of the North-West, sometimes stopping the flow in channel lakes, sometimes falling in waterfalls to the spawning grounds of salmon. The rivers of the Urals and Siberia, hiding their riffles among the mountain taiga, or the majestic streams of the Ob, Yenisei, Lena or Amur, where numerous species of fish live, the capture of which is the cherished dream of all fishermen in Russia and beyond. The deltas of the Volga and Don, which are the most popular fishing holiday destination in the summer for residents of European Russia.

On the territory of Russia there is a huge number of lakes of various origins, which to one degree or another can be considered not only tourist, but also fishing sites. In the European part, first of all, it is worth mentioning Karelia and the entire Northwestern region of Russia: Onega, Ladoga, Chudskoye, etc. In Siberia, this is the main asset of Buryatia and the Irkutsk region - Lake Baikal, as well as the pearl of Altai - Lake Teletskoye.

For many fishing enthusiasts, the vast expanses of water reservoirs located on the great Russian rivers are very interesting. The Volga-Kama cascade includes about 800 reservoirs, of which more than 20 are large. And throughout Russia there are thousands of large reservoirs and small ponds that are of great interest to fishermen. In closed reservoirs in most regions, a large number of fish farms have been created, where fishing is determined by the owner-tenants and falls into the category “Paid fishing”. This type of service should not be confused with licensed fishing for valuable species of fish, which is regulated by the rules of recreational fishing. Special conditions for licensed fishing apply primarily to the rivers of Siberia, the Kola Peninsula and the Far East. But in most cases, fishing and recreation on the shores of Russian reservoirs is free and publicly available. The culture of amateur and sport fishing is not uniformly developed, and poaching is rampant in many reservoirs. In order to eliminate possible problems on an unfamiliar body of water, it is best to use the services of numerous fishing and outdoor recreation organizers.

Winter fishing: other paid ponds

Those wishing to fish in paid ponds during the winter season are advised to pay attention to a number of the following reservoirs:

  1. The reservoir of the Varvarino fishing farm is located in an ecologically clean area near Krasnaya Pakhra at 47 km of the Varshavskoe highway.
  2. A natural flowing reservoir belonging to the Polivanovo fishing farm is located at 41 km of the Simferopol highway.
  3. The reservoir, owned by the Zolotoy Sazan club and part of the Buzlanovo fishing farm, is located at 29 km of Novorizhskoe highway.

Types of paid reservoirs

All paid fisheries are usually divided into two large types: with predatory fish species and with non-predatory fish. Mixed ones are quite rare. Usually in those that are focused on breeding carp, tench, crucian carp, etc. predators are trash fish that can destroy others. In those where predatory fish are grown, it will be difficult to grow valuable non-predatory fish in sufficient quantities, since they will also be exterminated by the predator and experience stress.

However, quite often the paid reservoir is reoriented from one type of fish to another. This is due to the fact that when growing only one, there is an accumulation of parasites and diseases that will affect it more, but for others will be harmless. The reservoir may also become clogged with small fish that are of no practical importance, and to exterminate them, the reservoir may be stocked with a predator - usually pike. After the number of small fish has decreased, pike are caught and adult individuals of valuable non-predatory species are released there.

By size, such water areas can be divided into small and large. A large body of water usually has more fishermen and is more likely to have a lot of fish in one spot. It is also more difficult to control its composition and population, and the behavior of clients during fishing. On small bodies of water, when fishing, everyone usually has equal chances, and the likelihood that a person caught in one place, and everyone sitting fifty meters away without a catch, is much less.

Based on price, payers are divided into two main groups - VIP and regular. On regular paid sites you can often find VIP areas, where the probability of catching good fish is much greater than usual. Such zones are usually identified during fishing trips, where participants’ catches are maximum. The price for a day of fishing in regular zones is approximately two to three thousand rubles; in VIP zones it is two to three times more, plus there is a requirement to pay for the caught fish by weight.

Is it worth fishing on paid ponds?

Many believe that fishing on a paid reservoir goes against the rules of free hunting, where a person finds fish in the wild, grown in natural conditions, and tries to deceive and catch it. However, this does not take into account the fact that there are fewer and fewer fish in the wild. Moreover, it often exists there only thanks to the work of people who service fish factories, helping it reproduce and feeding the fry.

The second fact in favor of the fact that fishing on a paid site is worth it is a guaranteed catch. There are much more fish there than in the same area of a public river. The fishing conditions are much more pleasant. A busy person who works can go to a reservoir near his home, spend time sitting among the dirt and garbage on the shore, catch nothing, and even run into some drunkards who decide to drive him away from the fishing spot. It will be a shame for the wasted time and nerves, and the gear is not cheap.

On the contrary, on a paid reservoir near Moscow you can find suitable conditions, a comfortable environment, a barbecue and a gazebo, clean banks and water without plastic bags floating in it. You can find out what kind of fish are there and what they bite on. The owner provides this information, since he is not interested in a disappointed client leaving him without a catch. And if you go far for fishing, you will lose a lot of money on travel, and the catch is not guaranteed.

Environmental safety is another reason to go fishing on a paid site. The fact is that the Moscow region suffers from dirt and harmful substances. Most of them end up in the water, and fish grown in it are usually unfit for food and dangerous for humans. Not a single owner of a paysite will allow sewage to be poured there, so the fish that is found there is protected to a large extent from the effects of harmful substances and can be eaten without fear.

In Japan and the USA, there has long been a fishing practice when a busy person can come to a paid pond, cast a fishing rod and happily catch a couple of good fish on a paid pond. In our country this is still in its infancy, but toll ponds near Moscow are the most numerous, and they can be found on different directions and roads.
