Semolina mash for crucian carp with garlic, recipe, how to prepare, how to apply to hook

Fishing - This is not only a means of subsistence, but also an exciting hobby for some people. To make it interesting and successful, they resort to various tricks. They are based on the fish's instincts, such as to eat. To do this, fishermen of all categories use various types of food or items that imitate food. Floats that imitate live food, insects, and worms are suitable. But “live” bait is also used: dried food, live earthworms, insects. And various baits are prepared from human food products. The most used ones are “talkers”.

Varieties

Varieties of semolina mash: raw, boiled, steamed. Semolina baits come in three types:

  1. “Mastyrki” are made from steamed semolina.
  2. Made from boiled semolina, they are called “cool”.
  3. From raw semolina.

Mastyrka from semolina

That is, dry semolina in a bowl is filled with water at room temperature, not warmer. But the “chatterbox” as bait is not suitable for regular fishing. It is used only for 1 time. Usually, before leaving, it is prepared in advance in a separate container or prepared immediately upon arrival at the fishing site.

For 2-3 hours of intensive fishing, 100 grams of chatterbox is enough. For preparation, a regular glass or mayonnaise container is enough.

Technique for placing a chatterbox on a hook

A word of warning: do not try to insert the mash with your bare hands. The mass will stick not to the hook, but to the fingers. There are two ways to put this attachment on:

  1. Using wooden sticks. When you arrive at the fishing spot, cut several small sticks with a spade-shaped end and remove the bark from them. Do not use softwood sticks under any circumstances! The more sticks you prepare, the better, because the remaining chatter on the end of the stick will quickly dry out, and there may not be time to clean it, especially if the bite is good. Sticks are needed to scoop up the bait and wrap it around a dry (required!) hook, like a long pasta around a fork. The chatter should cover it in the form of a ball so that the sting is hidden.
  2. A more convenient and easier method of insertion involves using a syringe without a needle, a tube or a small soft conical bag with a spout (the so-called cornet). The best option is to use a large-volume syringe, the needle of which can be cut off with wire cutters. The remaining cap tightly closes the hole, preventing the mixture from drying out. The bait is loaded inside through the top from which the piston has been removed. After loading, the piston is returned to its place and a long “thread” of substance is gradually squeezed out, wrapping it around the hook.

It is best to put their decoy balls on hooks with a spring that will hold the bait well.

Cooking method

It’s not difficult to prepare a means to “cool” prey and get it on the hook.
It does not take long to prepare: you can prepare it when you have already arrived at the pre-selected place. You should prepare enough to last for several hours. You only need one small container for preparation, from where you will have to scoop the bait. Despite the simplicity of preparation, it is necessary to take into account particularly important nuances in order for the product to be of high quality:

  • The temperature of the water is important during preparation; it affects the quality of the mixture. The water should be cold (no warmer than room temperature). If it is warm, the bait will become more liquid, losing its elasticity. Because of this, it will not stay on the hook well.
  • Semolina should be clean and fresh. The old one will not work, as it loses its properties, which can negatively affect the adhesiveness. The presence of small bugs in the cereal is acceptable; they will not spoil it. But if there are too many insects, the mixture will lose its stickiness.
  • The volume should not exceed 1 glass . This is enough for up to 4 hours of active fishing. Usually “chatterbox” is prepared before leaving home. If you want to cook a lot, then prepare it the day before departure and store it in the refrigerator.
  • It is important that the water is clean .
  • The water should not exceed the level of semolina in the glass. The ratio of cereal and water should be 1:1. Excess water must be drained, otherwise the bait will turn out more liquid.

Taking into account the nuances, let’s try to make our own “chatterbox” according to a simple recipe:

  1. Place semolina into a small, clean, dry container (glass) 4/5 of its volume.
  2. Carefully pour the contents of the glass with raw water at room temperature. In this case, all the contents must be mixed until the cereal is moistened. If the water exceeds the level of the cereal, drain it immediately.
  3. Wait about half an hour for the cereal to swell completely.
  4. Then use a small wooden stick to mix the contents of the glass until smooth. Why the stick is made of wood, because aquatic inhabitants are sensitive to the smell of metal.
    If the mixture sticks off the stick, then you did everything right.

    This means the drug is ready for use.

  5. It is better to stir the mash with a wooden stick, so that there is no smell of metal.
    Our sticky mixture is placed on a small thin wooden stick in a glass. The stick must be cleaned of dirt and bark.
  6. Using a stick, we wrap our semolina mixture around the tip of the fishing rod hook. Thus, the desired size is selected.
  7. Carefully holding the bait by the leash, you can cast the fishing rod. The nozzle should not touch anything.
  8. You can confidently cast a fishing rod in any way, since the “talker” will not fly off. It is worth changing the nozzle if the bait is already wet and the fishing rod needs to be cast again.

How to prepare semolina chatter and other bait - recipes, proportions, attractants

To make mash you will need semolina itself. It should be from soft varieties, marked M. You will also need a container, preferably closed, so that the semolina can last longer.

Water is the most important point when preparing semolina porridge for fishing

It is better to take water not from the tap. The best option is water from the same reservoir where fishing will take place. If the preparation of chatter takes place at home and not at a reservoir, then you can take spring or settled water. Tap water repels fish.

Attractants for different fish

When making mash, you can add flavoring to it. You can use both natural flavoring and special sprays. Sprays can be used to scent the bait right before casting. Using natural flavors, you can add them directly during the cooking process, or mix semolina water with these flavors. For example, crucian carp responds well to garlic, carp to strawberry flavor, you can use jam or syrup, and roach will not ignore coriander.

Recipe for semolina on water

If you want to prepare rubber semolina, you need to slowly pour dry semolina with water from a reservoir in small portions. After 30 seconds, drain off excess water and leave to swell for an hour. Stir the mixture with a stick until it becomes a sticky mixture.

And if you want a quick method of preparation: pour the required volume of semolina (for the day of fishing) in a stream with water from the reservoir, stirring constantly. When the wet mixture comes out, leave it for half an hour so that the semolina is saturated with water. Stir the mixture with a wooden stick for a quarter of an hour. As a result, a sticky, viscous mass will come out (stretches 60 mm).

When it doesn’t stretch well, on the contrary, it breaks, add a little water and stir again. When the mass is very liquid, add a small amount of semolina to the mass, stir generously, leave for 5 minutes, then stir for another 5 minutes.

Mixed porridge

Semolina should be divided into two equal portions. Gradually add the first one to boiling water and cook for 6 minutes. Allow to cool to 40 degrees. Then add the second portion, stirring thoroughly. Allow the mixture to cool. In the second portion, in addition to semolina, you can add wheat.

Manka - booze

A drunken chatterbox is one of the options for fishing decoys. Often when fishing, specially fermented baits are used. The fish's interest in the fermented fish is obvious - a strong smell. Therefore, you can try making mash with beer. Any beer is suitable for this, canned, bottled, draft, light or dark.

The beer for kneading semolina must be allowed to stand and evaporate so that gases come out of it. Then semolina is added to the spent beer. It is stirred and allowed to brew. This recipe has proven itself to be excellent when catching crucian carp.

With milk

The version of semolina porridge with milk adds thickness and flavor to the food cloud that spreads around the mash, especially when the milk is natural and not pasteurized. Although it forms a cloudier cloud, it adds almost no good aroma and taste to the chatterbox.

Winter fishing semolina with milk powder

In winter, fish need more energy-rich food. Therefore, she responds well to milk semolina. Powdered milk is mixed with semolina in a ratio of 1:3, and water is gradually added to it. Then the mash is made according to the method familiar above.

Rubber semolina for fishing

This is a non-killable super bait invented by sports fishermen. She barely gets off the hook. The only way it can be knocked down is by a fish in the process of fishing or a fisherman taking a hook out of a pond.

Approximately 100 grams of cereal should be poured into a small handkerchief and tied into a “bag” with thread. Place in boiling water for 6 minutes, then in cold water until it cools 100%. Then untie the scarf, you get a ball of semolina. When it is broken, the semolina will be boiled on the outside and dry on the inside. Then actively knead this ball by hand.

With this, the non-killable decoy for fishing is ready. When the bait touches the surface of the water, dry grains are sprayed, attracting fish to the hook; boiled grains give tenacity and viscosity on the hook.

Viscous rubber decoy

Garlic semolina

The easiest way to make garlic semolina for fishing is to add garlic flavoring to an existing mastyrka, mash, dough with semolina.

When you have time, you can do this: squeeze a clove of garlic in a garlic press, add 200 ml of water. Leave for 2 hours. Then prepare mash using this water.

Second option. Squeeze the juice from a couple of cloves using a garlic press, pour a few drops of it into the finished mixture. It is, of course, more convenient to use either flavoring or juice. It is believed that the smell of garlic is liked by crucian carp, which are caught using garlic semolina using a fishing rod and float.

Semolina with revit

A special version of the bait is semolina with revit, which can be prepared very simply. To do this, you need to put 6 peas of vitamin “Revit” in a deep plate and pour in 5 ml of water.

Then pound them with a mortar to the consistency of a thick yellow liquid. Pour this liquid into the mash dough and stir.

It is not known why the bite on this bait is sometimes better than on an ordinary one. Perhaps the fish are attracted by the yellow color in addition to the semolina smell. Why Revit and not Undevit, ascorbic acid and other vitamins? Apparently, it is in Revit that a persistent yellow dye is used, which homemade fishermen like.

How to cook semolina in cotton wool

Since the chatterbox is held on the hook rather weakly, often gets knocked down, and needs to be replanted, you can use this method.

To increase the duration of holding the bait on the hook, add ordinary cotton wool, crushed into small pieces, during the cooking process.

The mash prepared using this method must be stored hermetically in a dark place, protected from direct sunlight to prevent loss of odor and drying out.

Recipe with rolled oats

Roll the finished viscous mixture in flakes, knead thoroughly, and form into balls. Such lumps will stick perfectly to the hook. When the water in the reservoir is cloudy, the nozzle will be invisible; it is better to paint it with dyes.

Microwave

For this cooking method, semolina in a plate needs to be filled with water to a level so that it slightly covers it.

Add flavoring if desired, leave for 15 minutes to swell. Then put the plate in the microwave, cook for up to 3 minutes (depending on volume) until cooked.

Don't miss the moment so as not to burn it! It’s better to cook for 30 seconds, check if it’s ready, if not yet, another 30 seconds. Then cool and knead with your hands.

Cooking tips

Semolina is the result of grinding the top of wheat. The smaller and more uniform the grind, the better the characteristics of the mixture - stickiness, taste, solubility. Therefore, it is better to sift the semolina on a small sieve before preparing the mash.

Should you use fragrances?

Nowadays, many amateurs and professionals use various types of flavors to achieve greater success in fishing.
Before preparing the “chatterboxes”, flavorings are mixed with the cereal in advance. But you need to know when to stop, as the extremely strong aroma and taste can scare away prey. There are different flavors:

  • from anise oil;
  • from sunflower oil;
  • from hemp oil;
  • from vanillin;
  • from spices.

But compared to artificial flavors, handmade ones have a more natural smell and taste. You can make them yourself using everyday food products.

Garlic and honey are enough for this. Recipe for making “fragrant mash”:

  1. Pour warm boiled water into ¼ cup and add 0.5 tsp. honey. The water must be clean; it is recommended to buy table water at the pharmacy. You can also pass boiled water through a filter.
  2. Mix honey with water until it dissolves.
  3. Take 1 clove of garlic and finely chop. You can pass it through a grater. The garlic must be fresh and clean and free of rot.
  4. Pour semolina into a glass or glass jar and pour water mixed with honey on top. The water should be 5–10 mm above the semolina level. Drain off excess water.
  5. Mix everything and wait 20 minutes for the semolina to swell and absorb the sweet liquid.
  6. Then continue shaking and make the semolina sticky. This property will appear after 5 minutes of shaking.
  7. Then add all the chopped garlic and continue shaking for another 20 minutes.
  8. Finally, close the jar with a lid and place it in the refrigerator. The jar must be sealed tightly so that the mixture does not absorb extraneous odors from food in the refrigerator.
  9. When the bait sits in the refrigerator, it becomes thicker and becomes more reliable when used.

Storage

If you have chosen the fastest method of preparing mash to bait fish, then in half an hour you will be able to use it. And at the same time, you can keep it for a long period of time.

When choosing a method for storing mash, you need to pay attention to the weather:

  1. If the weather is cool and windy, then you can store the bait in an open container without worrying about its condition.
  2. At very high temperatures, such bait should be tightly closed in a container, otherwise it will simply dry out.

The best place and time of year to use bait

"Chatterbox" can be used as bait at any time of the year. It will help you catch fish in muddy or still water. But depending on the season and the transparency of the water, you need to take into account some nuances in order for the fishing to be successful.

For example:

  • In the spring-summer period, flavors with the smell of cinnamon, anise oil and honey with garlic are added to the bait.
  • In the summer-autumn period, you should use mixtures with the aroma of apple, strawberry, currant, pear and banana.
  • In winter, you can use this bait, but experienced people do not recommend using aromatic additives. According to them, this will scare away sleepy and lethargic fish.
  • The beginning of May will provide a rich catch, because during this period some “white fish” begin spawning. And before spawning, they will be hungry and will happily peck at the “free food”. After the end of spawning, they begin to eat again.

Depending on the clarity of the water, you can use additives that appear translucent in turbid water and attract its inhabitants. These supplements are sold in hunting and fishing stores.

What kind of fish bites on a chatterbox?

This bait has shown excellent effectiveness when catching any species of peaceful white fish - crucian carp, roach, silver bream, rudd, carp, bream, bream, ram, etc.

Semolina for fishing attracts even those types of fish whose diet is based on animal protein - worms, maggots, insects. Why does this happen? The thing is that, slowly dissolving in water, it forms a cloud of aroma, towards which the fish rushes. If you combine a chatterbox with other types of baits, you can guarantee successful fishing. This technique is especially effective in early spring, late autumn and winter, when fish attracted by the smell of semolina are offered nutritious animal bait.

Chatter is used for fishing in reservoirs with stagnant water or with a slow current, using float fly rods and Bolognese rods, bottoms, half-bottoms and feeders. For feeder fishing, special hooks with a spring are used, on which chatter balls are placed. Springs prevent the balls from coming off. In addition, feeders are used on the feeder for long-distance feeding, into which thick semolina with various additives is placed.

Storage nuances

To prevent the bait from losing its properties, you must adhere to the following main storage rules:

  • During fishing, the container with the “chatterbox” should be in a shaded and cool place. On cool and windless days it can be stored without a lid.
  • And on hot or rainy days, it is better to cover the container with a lid to avoid drying out or waterlogging.
  • When the bait dries out, its surface becomes covered with a crust. It can be carefully removed. Everything that was under the crust is still usable.
  • If moisture gets into the bait, then you need to drain the excess liquid and add a little semolina.

You can freeze syringes with chatter for long-term storage

There is an option for storing the “talker” for a long time. To do this, you need to put it into several syringes and sign each of them. Shelf life: up to 3 months in the freezer.

After removal, the bait may lose its properties and become thinner. It is more convenient to store it in syringes, because if necessary, you can put as much on the hook as necessary for fishing.

There is a winter storage option:

  • an empty tube of toothpaste or cream must be cleaned by squeezing out all the remaining contents;
  • then you need to wash it thoroughly and dry it;
  • fill ¾ of the tube with bait;
  • Close the lid tightly and roll up the lower end several turns to make it tight.

In winter, when fishing, the “talker” in such a container should be stored in a warm place. Then it will retain its properties in cold weather and contribute to a rich catch.

How to store ready-made semolina for fishing

It is better to store prepared semolina while fishing in a closed container. This storage option will avoid souring. Also, do not store the nozzle in direct sunlight, but rather hide it in a cool place.

If the bait is left over after fishing, you can take it home and hide it in the refrigerator. However, in the near future you will have to go fishing again, since even in the refrigerator, the semolina will not last more than 2 days.

Another option is to freeze the mash. This is convenient to do in syringes. One syringe is usually enough for one fishing trip, so you can prepare several servings for future fishing trips.

Features of bait placement

You can use a wooden stick to place the bait on the hook. The principle of planting is as follows:

  1. There should be a lot of sticks so that you don’t constantly clean the same one on surrounding objects. The stick should resemble a small spoon so that it can be used to carefully place the desired dose onto the hook.
  2. A piece of “chatter” should hide the tip of the hook and be shaped like a ball.

Some experts recommend using a medical syringe. It will make it easier to place the “false food” on the hook. They can be used to regulate the required dose of the nozzle.

Remove the needle with a plier, and the sealed needle cap will protect the contents from external factors. To remove foreign odors, the syringe should be washed thoroughly before use.

A tube of food or toothpaste is also used to attach bait to the hook. From the bottom of the tube, you need to gut it and thoroughly clean that side with a brush to remove foreign odors. Then fill the bottom of the tube with a nozzle and wrap it, securing it with a stapler.

Baits placed on a hook with a syringe or tube will hold firmly, and at the same time your hands will be clean.

Cooking options

Semolina for fishing can be prepared in different ways: it can be boiled, it can be steamed, or the bait can be made in the form of a chatterbox . Regardless of how you prepare semolina bait, the result is a sticky base that can lead you to your prey.

When interacting with water, semolina granules stick together due to the high starch content, but depending on the preparation method, the final consistency will be more or less dense. Let's look at the most popular options for preparing semolina bait at home.

Porridge

When thick bait is needed, cook porridge from equal amounts of water and semolina. When the liquid boils, gradually add semolina into it and bring until thickened. An important point: the porridge should turn out without lumps; if necessary, you can add a little more water and stir thoroughly.

This bait is cold cut into small cubes (very dense in structure) and placed on a hook. More experienced fishermen, in order to achieve greater density, after cooking the porridge, stir it additionally. To prevent semolina from sticking to your hands, treat the cubes with sunflower oil.

Dough

It is quite easy to make dough from semolina, since semolina is the same wheat of a coarser grind. The sequence of actions is as follows:

  • Semolina is loosely wrapped in a gauze bag or nylon stocking;
  • place the bundle with the contents under the tap and soak for 30 minutes;
  • when the cereal swells, we get a mass with rubber properties;
  • If the dough is not elastic enough, grease your hands with vegetable oil and knead additionally, or put the bundle with the contents in a pan and boil for about a quarter of an hour.

You can prepare semolina dough in another way; you don’t need gauze or stockings for this. It is enough to dilute the cereal with water in a glass jar until it reaches the consistency of thick sour cream. Then place the vessel under running water and rinse the resulting composition with a slow stream of slightly warm water. 30 minutes will be enough to get the dough at the bottom, and then knead it to the desired density. You can simply place a bag of semolina in boiling water for 5 minutes, then hang the bundle, let the water drain and knead the dough with your hands.

"Chatterbox"

Semolina “chatter” is also easy to make. In essence, this is a well-swollen cereal, the grains of which are held together due to the starchiness of the product. The cooking process is as follows:

  • take semolina and fill it with water at room temperature at the rate of 2 parts of product to 1 part of liquid;
  • mix thoroughly until a thick, homogeneous composition is obtained;
  • add a little more water and leave the composition to swell (30 minutes will be enough);
  • when the cereal is completely swollen, if there is excess water, it must be drained;
  • the composition is mixed again.

“Chatterbox” is taken for fishing in the same container in which it was prepared. Mounted using a convenient stick. It is also convenient to attach such bait using a syringe or tubes of ointments and creams. The main thing is that the latter do not have a specific smell of medicines or cosmetics.

Some experienced fishermen believe that when preparing “chatterbox”, you need to pour the cereal into the water, and not pour the liquid into the semolina. Well, this method certainly has a right to exist, especially since, according to experts, they simply take grains with them when fishing and dilute the “chatterbox” at the fishing site in an ordinary plastic bottle.

With garlic

Garlic aroma is one of the favorite smells of crucian carp, so this product can be safely added to semolina bait. To flavor the semolina treat, just take a garlic clove for a few tablespoons of semolina. A peeled clove of garlic is crushed in any way and mixed into the main bait. You can flavor any semolina bait in this way, but to enhance the effect, it is advisable to do this after heat treatment of the semolina or after washing (depending on the preparation method).

“Chatterbox” can be allowed to brew immediately with garlic. But you can add garlic gruel to the dough while kneading it with your hands. By the way, for flavoring, semolina dough prepared with the addition of flour in a ratio of 3: 1 . Mix the ingredients and, adding water, knead the dough, let it brew, and during kneading you can flavor it with garlic gruel.

The old proven method of flavoring bait with garlic will give you good results. Firstly, this smell attracts crucian carp and not only them, and secondly, it is always better to use a natural flavor rather than a store-bought one, which may contain chemical elements.

Tactics and technique of fishing with chatterbox

Catching fish with a chatterbox does not require much skill or any super skills. Since fish bite on this ready-made food very easily.

  • To catch as many as possible, you should choose the right time and place. Depending on the location, fishing equipment is selected. For example, if you have to fish in a river backwater, then it is enough to have a feeder. For larger bodies of water, fly rods are used. And for fishing in large lakes you will need special gear for casting over long distances.
  • Usually people go fishing in the morning . You need to choose a quiet place, away from roads and crowds of people. Otherwise, despite the tempting bait, the prey will be scared and will not bite. It is not necessary to prepare the bait in advance. Taking the necessary ingredients with you, you can prepare it on the spot, according to the recipe.
  • Crucian carp, perch, carp and other water inhabitants bite more actively at 10-11 o'clock. Before this, you should choose a convenient place. It should be cleared of tall grass, bushes, dry branches, etc. so that the hook does not get caught on them.
  • It is necessary to have a belt bag where syringes with bait will be located in the shade. When fishing, you should take into account the size of the fish. If a bream or white bream gets caught on a hook, it will be a shame. Because, due to their large size, the hook bends or the thin leash breaks. For such cases, take your nets with you.
  • You should also pay attention to what kind of fish lives at what depth. Smaller ones, such as bleaks and rudds, live closer to the surface of the water. Therefore, while the bait reaches those that live in the depths, these nimble creatures can get ahead of them.
  • Light waves and vibrations of water whet the appetite of fish. If the bite subsides, you can throw in some food along with the fishing rod. And soon a school will gather near the bait.
  • The bait on the hook should not be large . Otherwise, potential prey may eat it without getting hooked and swim on. If you feel that the prey has taken a bite, then pulling it out is a matter of technique.

When is the best time to catch crucian carp using semolina?

This fish is found in many reservoirs, but is active only at water temperatures of +15...+23°C. It is this indicator that needs to be taken into account when going fishing.

During the spring and autumn seasons, it is best to catch crucian carp between 10:00 and 17:00. In summer, this fish is active before sunrise, as well as before sunset and later. However, the time period is quite arbitrary: even in two bodies of water located nearby, the bite may differ.

When fishing specifically for semolina, it is important to take into account weather conditions. In the rain it is difficult to place a chatterbox on a hook. Also, it can become limp when casting far or be torn off by the wind.

Did you know? It was from crucian carp that the decorative aquarium fish, which everyone now calls “golden”, was bred in China.

Tips and tricks

Some important tips for everyone who wants to succeed in fishing with chatterboxes:

  1. It happens that it can break up or even fly off the hook. This happens due to the fact that small fish swim nearby and knock it down. To prevent this from happening, you need to add a little cotton wool to the bait. Then it does not crumble when it gets into water.
    To make a “cotton swab”, the cotton wool should be torn into small pieces by hand and placed in the semolina solution. Mix everything thoroughly according to the recipe and you're done.

    When casting a fishing rod, the mixture with cotton wool will not fly off the hook.

  2. Semolina with small white worms should not be thrown away. Of course, this is inedible for people, but fish bite with pleasure.
  3. “Chatterbox” can be prepared by soaking it in water and drying it in nylon stockings. To add viscosity and thickness, dry cereal is added there.
  4. Colored “talkers” are suitable for catching fish of medium depths, and natural colors are suitable for the lower depths.
    To attract their attention in the fall, the bait is painted bright green. And in winter, in carmine or scarlet color. Natural dyes are used, such as those used to color Easter eggs.

As you can see, using semolina bait provides many advantages in fishing. In addition, it is easy to prepare and store, and can also be used at any time of the year. It turns out that for successful fishing it is not necessary to buy various silicone bait models. It is enough to use a little water, cereal, honey, garlic and success is guaranteed.

Chatterbox options

In addition to the above recipe, which is also the easiest to prepare, you can use several recipes:

  1. Boiled porridge. To prepare it you need to spend a little more effort and time. To do this, you need to add water to the cereal and cook for half an hour. After that, you put it on the board and knead it well. You should get a soft, homogeneous mass, similar to soft plasticine.
  2. Mixed porridge. To prepare such bait, you need to divide the cereal into two portions. You place the first portion in water and cook for a couple of minutes, about five, until it becomes viscous. Then remove from heat and let cool slightly, then add the remaining cereal and mix thoroughly.
  3. Milk bait. To prepare bait with milk, you should take a deep bowl that can hold the amount of mass you need, and at the same time it will be convenient for you to mix it. Pour the required amount of semolina into the bowl and then mix it until the texture resembles plasticine.
  4. Bring to a boil. This bait cooks very quickly and at the same time has a good texture for use. To prepare this type of bait, you will only need a few spoons of semolina, half a glass of water and the flavors that you are going to use. Place all ingredients in one bowl, put on fire and bring to a boil. Then simply remove from the heat and wait for it to cool. Mix the cooled mass well with your hands, turning it into a homogeneous mass.

Making mash is not a complicated process, but the results are good. Everyone knows that semolina is a cereal. When preparing mash, you can use not only semolina porridge, but any kind in general.

If you don’t have the required amount of porridge on hand, prepare it yourself. To do this you will need to use a blender. You can also make mash from buckwheat, rice, peas or any other porridge you have in your home.

Different ways to use fragrance additives

It is convenient to first lubricate your hands with the “Star” balm, and then knead the dough with your hands. In the majority

In some cases, flavorings are added while mixing the dough. For example, one clove of garlic needs to be finely chopped and added to the mixture while whipping the mash. This bait is especially attractive during spring fishing for crucian carp.

Of the vegetable oils, it is best to use sunflower or anise oil . Sometimes menthol oil is also used. But directly when fishing, you can use valerian tincture, or even drops of Corvalol. In general, a lot depends on the weather, season, and type of reservoir. And sometimes various recommendations do not help much, and by trial and error you can achieve good results.

It is best to bait the chatterbox with a thin wooden stick, which is easy to find near any body of water. You just need to clean it of dirt and bark. With this stick, take a strip of dough and wrap it several times around the tip of the hook, achieving the desired thickness.

Even easier from a syringe . Squeeze out a little dough and wrap it around the hook. It is not necessary to cover the tip, as the dough will slide off in the water and cover it.

What can be used as flavorings?

To improve the bite characteristics and to attract fish from different parts of the reservoir, various aromatic substances can be added to the chatterbox. The following products are best received by crucian carp:

  • garlic;
  • ground coffee beans or cocoa beans;
  • roasted sunflower seeds;
  • vanilla or vanilla sugar;
  • anise.

According to the observations of experienced fishermen, crucian carp are perfectly lured by the smell of kerosene, heart drops and the usual medical balm “Zvezdochka”.

Flavoring and storage

There are several ways of aromatization: dry and liquid, natural and chemical. Powders are less soluble in the bait than dips and attractants. They are best used in feeding mixtures, where a uniform consistency is not so important. Natural odors - garlic, honey, fruit - can be replaced with chemical ones, based on alcohol or oil.

Sweet flavors are used in the warm season. Autumn, early spring and winter season require meat and salty additives. In addition to dry and liquid components, vegetable oil is used. Its density is lower than water, and therefore the bait lying on the bottom releases floating particles, which attracts peaceful fish.

The mixture should be stored in a cool place; the bottom shelf of the refrigerator is best. It is not recommended to freeze the nozzle, as it will then lose its properties. If semolina is mixed directly on the pond, during the fishing process it is necessary to keep the container with bait in the shade so that it does not turn sour.

Semolina with garlic

If you want to tinker, then you need to do this.

1 way. Take a clove of garlic, crush it in a garlic press and pour a glass of water over it. Leave for 1-2 hours. Next, prepare mash using this water.

Method 2. Squeeze the juice from several cloves using the same garlic press and add it 1-2 drops at a time to the finished nozzle.

The best and fastest way, of course, is to use either flavoring or juice. It is believed that the garlic smell attracts crucian carp. They catch it with a float rod using semolina with garlic.
