Features of fishing in October

If you go fishing in Bashkiria, you can get a lot of positive emotions.
Moreover, not only from the fishing process itself, but also from the beauty of these places, regardless of the season. Bashkiria is characterized by the fact that there is a huge number of both large and small reservoirs, where up to 47 species of different fish are found. Fishing is highly effective, which cannot but please any angler, including the inexperienced. In Bashkiria there are up to 43 thousand large and small rivers, which complement lakes of various sizes and of which there are more than 3 thousand. Bashkiria is a place where any category of fishermen can realize themselves.

To make sure that every angler is able to catch any fish here, it is better to go to Bashkiria, having first studied the features of this interesting process.

Fishing in Bashkiria by season

Fishing in Bashkiria is designed for any time of the year, although each season has its own characteristics. Therefore, when going fishing, you need to know for sure that during this period the fish are biting and there is every opportunity to catch fish.

Fishing in Bashkiria in autumn by month

With the arrival of autumn comes cold weather, as daylight hours decrease. The weather in autumn in Bashkiria is characterized by its variability. The sun may be shining, but after a while the sky becomes cloudy and a cold, annoying rain begins to fall.

Fishing in September

When the weather in September is warm and sunny, it is better to look for fish in shallow water, where they prefer to bask in the sun’s rays. When it's cold outside and the water temperature drops, most fish move to deeper water. This applies to pike, catfish, roach, asp, ide, etc. During this period, it is better to catch them from the depths. Autumn fishing is characterized by the fact that the fish begin to have an autumn appetite, and they bite at everything that is offered to them.

In September, most fishermen prefer to fish from a boat. Pike can be caught using artificial bait, but asp will be better off taking live bait. Perch can be caught using both artificial baits and worms. In September, it is better not to count on catching catfish or bream. But burbot is particularly active, since it prefers colder periods.

Fishing in October

In October, when the temperature inexorably drops, the bulk of the fish prefer to move closer to their traditional wintering grounds. Towards evening, when the upper layers of the water have warmed up, albeit slightly, you can see fish walking around. Predators continue to hunt, stocking up on nutrients for the winter. Pike continues to attack artificial baits as actively as in September. At this time, burbot and catfish bite on live bait. For burbot, such weather has a positive effect, since it cannot stand heat, much less heat.

The month of October offers favorable conditions for catching predatory fish. Fishermen use various gear for this, such as spinning rods, girders or bottom fishing rods. Some anglers use regular float rods and are satisfied with the results of their fishing.

Fishing in November

In November, Bashkiria begins to be covered with snow, and the temperature outside sets below freezing, which leads to the appearance of ice on reservoirs. Moreover, ice appears, so far, only in shallow areas, and where the depth is significant, you can still fish there with the same gear. At this time, dace, roach, perch and pike are caught. Peaceful fish are mainly caught with a worm or bloodworm. During this period, it is possible to catch sabrefish, as well as other types of fish. In November you can also catch:

  • Pike.
  • Perch.
  • Zander.
  • Roach.
  • Chub.
  • Bream.
  • Burbot.
  • Guster.
  • Gudgeon.

Basically, in the month of November, most fishermen go for burbot, since it feels very good in cold water. The most promising places during this period will be river mouths.

Fishing in Bashkiria in winter

Despite the difficult climate in winter, fishing can bring significant results if taken seriously. In winter you can catch:

  • Rudd.
  • Ruff.
  • Yazya.
  • Roach.
  • Pike.
  • Pike perch.
  • Perch.
  • Grayling.

Some types of fish can be easily caught with a regular fishing rod if you attach a worm or regular dough to the hook. Predatory fish prefers to stay in river mouths. In places where there is no ice, you can try to catch grayling using a worm as bait.

When the thaw comes after the cold weather, bream, ide and chub begin to bite. Burbot can be caught on minnows or pieces of fish. You should look for fish in deep-sea areas using bottom gear. Fishing in winter in Bashkiria requires perseverance and patience, since the bite here is not stable and you have to wait a long time for it.

Fishing in Bashkiria in spring

In May, spring fishing begins in Bashkiria, which ends with the beginning of spawning. As a rule, fishermen go to the Belaya River, which is distinguished by a large number of fish, and very diverse ones. In the backwaters of the Belaya River there are catfish, which are caught using frogs, worms, and also live bait.

During this period, grayling are caught using spinners. Naturally, every fisherman takes bait with him. Fish bite on a wide variety of baits. For example:

  • On a worm.
  • On the bran.
  • For buckwheat.
  • For beetle larvae.

Fishing in Bashkiria in summer

Fishing in summer also has its own characteristics, although during this period it is possible to catch any fish in reservoirs. On hot days you shouldn’t count on an active bite, especially during the day. It will be most effective in the morning or evening hours. When the heat subsides and the sky becomes cloudy, the fish start to become active and you can catch some fish. On rainy and cool days you can count on catching burbot.

Large perch prefers to stay in the depths, but in search of food it moves into thickets or shallows. He also loves places where there are underwater obstacles in the form of fallen trees. Perch is caught using live bait, but very often follows artificial baits, especially those made of edible rubber. Fishermen use ordinary fishing rods, bottom gear or spinning rods.

Fishing in November - What kind of fish is caught in November in Bashkiria

Fishing in November will be of interest not only to fans of open water fishing, but also to fans of ice fishing. If the weather is good, then open water fishing is available with spinning rods and mugs. As soon as the first frosts hit, a thin ice crust appears on the reservoirs. But you shouldn’t go on the ice right away; the safe ice thickness for fishing is 5 centimeters.

In mid-latitudes, water bodies become covered with ice almost simultaneously. In the northern regions this happens much earlier, in October, and in the southern regions - from mid-December.

Open water fishing

The first half of November is usually met with rain, often with sleet, and when the weather improves there are even frosts. At this time, fishing is practically no different from fishing in October. Fishing with spinning rods and mugs brings the best results. But when it freezes, fishing with circles becomes more difficult, and for spinning fishing a different rod may be required. Less productive this month, but no less interesting, is fishing with float tackle. They usually catch perch and roach. Of the baits, bloodworms and small fry work best.

Fishing during the freeze-up period

In the first days of freeze-up, fish bite throughout the day. The most promising fishing is in cloudy weather. You should start fishing from the lakes.

Fishing on the first ice

Almost all fish inhabiting the reservoir bite well on the first ice:

— Large lures are great for catching pike perch, pike, and large perch;

— Small perch take well on small lures. You should look for it near snags. To increase the chances of a good catch, you can attach a bloodworm or a worm to the hook of the spoon;

— There is a chance to catch a trophy pike with a live bait rod. For fishing, you should choose the deepest parts of the reservoir, and perch and ruff are most suitable as live bait;

— At night there is a good chance of catching burbot using a bottom fishing rod. You should fish with live bait;

— Pike and pike-perch are excellently caught on the girders.

What kind of fish can be caught in November?

Pike. This predator continues to eat in early November. There are different ways to catch pike at this time, but the most exciting of them is spinning. You can choose any bait, the main thing is that it is large. This is due to the fact that pike actively stores fat for the winter, and is primarily interested in large prey. You should go fishing early in the morning or in the evening; during the day there is practically no activity of pike.

Perch. You can catch it throughout the day, but perch is still more active in the morning and evening. Cloudy weather is most suitable for fishing. It should be remembered that in November the perch already gathers in large schools and stays at depth. It is better to use sinking wobblers as bait for spinning. The wiring can be of any kind, but jerk wiring shows itself better than others. As the water becomes clearer, jig baits can also be used successfully. It is advisable to choose twisters and vibrotails in dark colors.

Zander. Catching this fish in November is very interesting and exciting. If the pike at this time chooses ambush tactics, then the pike perch behaves much more actively. It moves throughout the reservoir in search of food. Like any predator, you should catch it in the morning and evening. Lures should be of medium size; their color is not important.

Crucian carp. Catching this fish in November is very dependent on weather conditions. November crucian carp are sluggish and become active when the water warms up even a little. Therefore, days with rising air temperatures are best for fishing. Therefore, you need to catch it during the day.

Roach. Finding it in November is very easy. This fish loves various bays with shallow depths. It can often be found near reed thickets. To catch roach you will need sensitive gear. In cold water, preference should be given to baits of animal origin. You can also use bait; it can be any feed mixture. But it is very important not to overfeed the fish and not spoil the bait with too many flavors.

Fishing in Bashkiria on open water

Fishing in Bashkiria in open water prefers to use bottom gear or ordinary float rods. For bait they will use:

  • Worms.
  • Bloodworm.
  • Bark beetle larvae.
  • Various beetles.
  • Insect larvae.

The most catchy places will be those located in close proximity to pits or next to reed thickets. If you feed the fish, you can count on a serious catch. In other words, fishing in Bashkiria is all about experiments.

An early morning dawn or a wonderful sunset, a long-awaited bite and a fish fluttering on the hook. How many emotions and joyful moments fishing gives rise to, how many vivid impressions it leaves behind.

Fishing in Bashkiria

– this is a great opportunity not only to get a good catch, but also to enjoy the beautiful nature of this region, its picturesque rivers and lakes, and most importantly, to have a wonderful rest.

More than 600 large and small rivers flow in Bashkiria, many of which are very popular among fishing enthusiasts.

Most of the rivers of Bashkiria belong to the Volga and Ural river basins. And only a few small rivers in the northeastern part of the republic, primarily the Uy River and its tributaries, as well as the Miass, are included in the Ob basin. Most of the sources of rivers in Bashkiria, as a rule, are located in the mountains among stone placers and rock formations in lakes and swamps. The mountainous part of the republic forms an extensive network of various watercourses, quite typical for mountainous areas.

The main waterway and the most popular fishing spot in Bashkiria

is the Belaya River, or as the indigenous inhabitants of the Ak-Idel Republic call it. The river's sources begin in the western spurs of the Ural Mountains. First, the river flows in a southwestern direction, and then turns sharply in a northern direction and then flows into the Kama. The Belaya River is 1,475 km long and its basin has an area of 142.8 square meters. km. The river, together with its tributaries Ufa, Dema, Sima, Ashkadar and others, covers the main part of the territory of Bashkiria.

The Belaya River is considered the most beautiful river on the territory of Bashkiria; its main part is navigable. Along the banks of this beautiful river there are many large and small villages.

The largest tributary of the Belaya River is the Ufa River, which in turn has quite large tributaries. The sources of Ufa are located in Lake Ufimskoye.

But Bashkiria is not only rich in rivers; the republic has a large number of artificial lakes and swamps. Most of the lakes are located in the trans-Ural part of Bashkiria - these are Ala-kul, Kurman-kul, Beloe, Ulandy, Bannoe, Sherambay, Kush-kul and many others. Like the rivers of the republic, the lakes abound in fish wealth; they are home to more than 40 species of different fish.

In the west of Bashkiria, the largest lake is Asly - a kul with an area of more than 18 square meters. km.

The most common types of fish for fishing in
Bashkiria
are bream, carp, tench, rudd, catfish, asp, pike, sabrefish, pike perch, perch, grass carp, etc.

Fishing on the Belaya River

Most Bashkir fishermen, when asked where the best fishing is in Bashkiria,

without hesitation, they will answer - on the Belaya River and its tributaries. Here you can find a wide variety of fish, for every taste and for any tackle. The waters of Belaya are inhabited by carp, pike perch, bream, ide, burbot, rudd, chub, asp, pike, roach, catfish, grayling and even royal sturgeon. Of course, this is not a complete list of the fish that live there, of which there are as many as 47 species.

Of course, species diversity largely depends on the reservoir and the living conditions in it, especially on the food supply and oxygen saturation of the reservoir.

The Belaya River in Bashkiria is a real paradise for fishing lovers. And you can fish there not only in the river itself, but also in its numerous floodplain lakes and, especially at the confluence with tributaries. Fishermen like these places the most, and the richest catches happen in such places.

Bream and carp on the Belaya River are mainly caught with a donkey or a feeder. Places are pre-fed well, and various plant baits or dung worms are used as bait. Chopped worms or maggots are also added to the bait. The largest bream are caught in pits whose depth reaches 12-14 meters.

The most successful fishing for chub and ide occurs during the season of mass emergence of the cockchafer. If you find a good spot and are careful you can catch some large chub. Shaded places should be chosen, preferably next to coastal bushes or trees with branches hanging over the water.

Fishing in Bashkiria in the Belaya River

for pike it is very effective for mugs. They are placed from a boat in places where there is snags or grassy thickets, as well as not far from the reeds, where the toothy predator likes to hide. Small roach, crucian carp or bleak are used as live bait.

The Belaya River is especially loved by spinning anglers; large pike perch, asp, pike and perch are caught here. Different baits are used for catching predatory fish, but particular preference is given to a variety of wobblers and vibrotails. The color and size of such baits are selected individually, but, as a last resort, you can always take a closer look at what your luckier neighbor is fishing for and what equipment he is using.

Fishing on the Belaya River in Bashkiria

– this is a great vacation for a fisherman who wants to experience real excitement and get a great catch.

Fishing in Ufa

Ufa is the largest tributary of the Belaya River. Local residents call Ufa Karaidel, which means Black River. At the confluence of the Belaya and Ufa rivers, the border between the dark and light streams is clearly visible. Also within the republic this river is called the Ufimka, and in the neighboring regions of Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk it is called Ufa.

Fishing in Bashkiria on the Ufa River

very popular among spinners. Chub, asp and ide are especially well caught in Ufa. In its upper reaches it is predominantly a mountain and semi-mountain river. At first, the Ufa flows through low mountains, and below the village of Krasnoufimsk, where the Ai River flows into it, the Ufa acquires a semi-mountainous character.

A little below the village of Karaidel, the Pavlovsk reservoir begins, the length of which is about 100 km. Behind the dam of the Pavlovsk hydroelectric power station, Ufa becomes a full-flowing and deep river with a fast and strong current.

Ufa is one of the richest rivers in the Southern Urals with fish resources. Its waters are home to almost all species of fish living in the reservoirs of the Southern Urals. There are a lot of grayling in the river, which can be found right up to the river mouth. The Pavlovsk Reservoir is famous for its abundance of fish; in particular, there is a lot of large bream and other white fish.

Fishing in Lake Akkul

Akkul - White Lake translated from the Bashkir language. The lake is located on the left bank of the Belaya River in the western part of the Gafuriy district. The length of the lake is 5 km, and its greatest width is 2 km. The average depth of the lake is about 4 meters. At a time when Lake Akkul was not connected to the Belaya River, its depth reached 10 meters. When the isthmus separating the lake and the Belaya River was broken, part of the water went into the river and its area was reduced by almost 2 times. After this, the lake was dammed and its level stabilized slightly.

Lake Akkul receives its nutrition from springs, the underflow of the Belaya River, atmospheric precipitation and the Karmalka River flowing into it. Today this picturesque lake is a state reserve with an area of 120 square meters. km. Several species of waterfowl nest on the lake, and the forests along its coast are home to moose, hares, foxes, martens, stoats, and minks.

Fishing in Bashkiria on Lake Akkul

According to local fishermen, it is wonderful. Here you can catch carp, bream, crucian carp and even catfish. The concentration of fish in the lake is large and the catches are excellent. But for good fishing in Lake Akkul you need a boat. With a boat, finding a good fishing spot is much faster and more reliable. To ensure a successful fishing spot for carp, bream or crucian carp, it is better to feed them in advance. The best bait for catching this fish in Lake Akkul is considered to be a worm.

Unfortunately, spearfishing in the lake is not very promising. The depths of the lake are generally shallow, and the bottom is covered with a thick layer of silt. Visibility underwater is already not very good, and with slight excitement the visibility deteriorates even more. Mainly fishing on Lake Akkul

It is carried out using float rods, feeders and bottom tackle.

Fishing in early November

In the first half of the month, while it is not yet very cold, fish are caught in the same way as in October.

Steady frosty weather sets in at the end of November. On the first ice, the fish bite quite actively and on small rivers, but this does not last long: frosts drive them to where it is warmer - to great depths or to a bottom overgrown with silt.

Until the frost gets stronger, fishing continues with spinning rods and mugs. True, the latter becomes difficult when the temperature drops and requires good physical preparation from the fisherman.

Perch and roach, as in October, are caught with float rods using fry and bloodworms, respectively.

Fishing in early November is complicated by the fact that the water becomes clear as glass. You cannot do without good camouflage: you need to make individual elements of the gear invisible and hide your own presence.

In November, fishing in shallow water and in grass thickets is pointless. It is better to choose a deeper place and be patient: late autumn fishing is, for the most part, a long fishing in one place, and not a constant search with fast movement.

In November, roach can be caught using any gear, but ruff and perch bite better on a jig. At the very beginning, it is quite possible to catch crucian carp. Such luck can await a fisherman at depth in small overgrown lakes.

The main thing is that the weather does not let us down: crucian carp bite better on sunny, windless days. To rouse a sleeping predator, move the hook with an attachment (preferably a bloodworm) from time to time.

You can focus on the driftwood. There is a lot of silt under them, in which predatory fish often hide. However, you need to skillfully fish for snags.

In cold water, large fish react poorly to horizontal fishing, but better to vertical fishing. Based on this, experienced fishermen advise using jig baits.

The “constant chiseling” technique works well. When the fisherman makes a pendulum cast two to three meters under a snag, then retrieves it during the falling phase, and, lifting the rod, pulls out the bait.

And so again and again. Until the predator reacts. And as practice shows, he can do this with both the fifth and tenth “hit” in one place.
