The main part of the lake’s water area is inhabited by large pike, and some truly trophy specimens can be found, sometimes even more than 5 kilograms. Medium-sized perch, which is caught on spinners, also coexists in the pond with pike. There is also a sorog in the lake.
Free fishing spots in Krasnoyarsk
Lake Bolshoi Berchikul, or the name given to it by the locals - Volchye, is very popular among local and visiting fishermen. The water in the reservoir is very clean, probably the cleanest in the entire Krasnoyarsk region, and the nature is simply mesmerizing. The reservoir is special in that only one small river flows out of it, and there are no tributaries at all.
True, several mountain streams feed the lake with clean water and its level remains the same at any time of the year. The lake offers equally good fishing from a boat and from the shore, so there is something for all fishermen. The depth of the reservoir is about 4-6 meters. The bottom of the reservoir is sandy, but in some places there are shell patches. There is a lot of pike, large carp, ide, roach, bream, tench, perch and silver carp in the reservoir.
Kemchug River
Many outdoor enthusiasts have heard about the Kemchug River, which flows in the northern part of Krasnoyarsk. The reservoir is relatively small in size, but the fish there are quite large, the main thing is to choose the right gear.
Try to cast the bait at the border of still water and current, since almost all the fish stay there, especially the predator prefers such places. - in tributaries of the Yenisei River of all orders south of the mouth of the Angara River (Strelka village), including the Yenisei and Angara rivers, tributaries of hydroelectric power station reservoirs, production (catch) is prohibited: from April 20 to June 20 - all types of aquatic biological resources.
Fishing water bodies of the Khantaika River basin, including the Khantaiskoye Reservoir, are prohibited from fishing:
- from May 20 to June 30 - pike in the Khantay Reservoir;
- in the Kureyskoye Reservoir: from May 20 to June 30 - all types of aquatic biological resources in the Malta Tiptur rivers - Orokta, Degen, Avam, Meandrovka and their bays;
- in the Boguchansky reservoir: from April 20 to June 20 - all types of aquatic biological resources;
- in the Krasnoyarsk reservoir: from May 1 to June 30 - in all bays of the reservoir at a distance of less than 70% of the length of the bay from its headwaters along the middle line;
- from September 20 to June 30 - all types of aquatic biological resources in the bays of the Yenisei, Tuba, Syda, Koma, Ubey, Derbina, Biryusa, Sisim rivers at a distance of less than 3 km from the variable (actual) backwater;
- from April 20 to June 30 - all types of aquatic biological resources in the upper reaches of the reservoir in the area from the port of Abakan to the southern end of Mount Tepsey - the southern end of Mount Glyaden;
- from April 20 to June 30 - all types of aquatic biological resources in the bay of the Syda River in the area above the alignment of Mount Tangal - the mouth of the Karasuk River.
