Fishing places in the Ivanovo region and Ivanovo

Every self-respecting resident of the Russian Federation has heard a lot about the wealth of water resources of the Ivanovo region, but few know that there are about 2000 rivers in this region. Why are there 2000, the Volga alone stretches across 150 kilometers of the region.

The second, large river, which is fully suitable for fishing in the Ivanovo region, is Klyazma. But it is not the river itself that deserves special attention, but its two large tributaries, the Uvod and the Nerl. These are the most wonderful places not only for fishing, but also for excellent relaxation and spending time.

What kind of fish is found in the Ivanovo region

Many different fish often swim into the waters of the region, but the species composition of the permanent inhabitants of the reservoir remains unchanged for many years. True, not all underwater inhabitants can be caught on a hook, but often fishermen catch:

Fishing on one of the largest rivers in the region, the Klyazma, is famous among local fishermen. Most often they go to the reservoir in search of trophy bream. When fishing for bream, the main thing is to choose a place with a sharp change in depth and weak current, and then feed it generously with the right bait.

The main purpose of bait is to create a cloudy cloud at the bottom of the reservoir to subsequently attract fish.

Bream is a very cautious fish, so the use of thin fishing line and leashes is mandatory. Local fishermen use maggots as bait. White bream, ruffe and gudgeon are also excellent for catching; it is best to use a worm to catch them.

The Uzhna River is not famous among fishermen for ideal fishing conditions, but the catch will be rich. The main task is the correct choice of location and appropriate preparation. When choosing the right equipment, even novice fishermen will not be left without a catch.

Ruff, burbot, pike, perch and catfish are most often caught in the river.

The formation of holes in river beds, which can be observed in places where the topography of the bottom of a reservoir changes sharply. Favorable conditions for fishing in the reservoir are clear. The moderate speed of the current allows you to freely fish with feeder gear and use bait.

Autumn and winter fishing on Lake Rubskoye is famous among visitors and local fishermen; in the summer, fish are poorly caught. Roach, perch and pike populate this reservoir very densely; there is more than enough such fish in it.

Local fishermen most often go to the reservoir after the ice covers; they say that winter fishing in Rubskoy is very effective. Hungry fish very often delight fishermen with their bites and no one returns home empty-handed.

Uzhenie within the city of Ivanovo

Many anglers in the city of Ivanovo prefer not to travel far from home and fish on the Uvod River, which flows through this settlement. Their trophies usually become:

roach;
blue;
crucian carp;
perch;
pike;
zander;
bersh.

On a note! The last spring month is best suited for fishing for roach and bluegill on the river. In May, these representatives of the carp family are excellently caught using Bolognese tackle directly from the city embankment. The most effective baits are considered to be worms and maggots.

Crucian carp prefers to stay in small, overgrown bays and begins to show increased feeding activity in late spring. To catch it, you will need a fly rod 5–6 m long, equipped with a light float with a carrying capacity of no more than 2 g. A dung worm is usually attached to the hook. In mid-summer, semolina flavored with a sweet flavor works well. Fine bait, periodically thrown into the fishing point, will contribute to a stable bite.

Throughout the summer, perch fishing is good on Uvodi. From June to September, the striped predator hunts close to the shore and shows increased interest in the following spinning baits:

rotating spoons No. 0–2;
medium-sized wobblers with a depth of up to 1.5 m;
small twisters of bright color on a jig head weighing 0.5 2 g.

With the arrival of autumn, perch moves closer to the main channel of the river, where it continues to be caught using classic jig baits. In winter, it can be successfully caught in numerous creeks using vertical spoons, balancers and jig tackle.

According to the last crowd on the Uvod River, you can count on a good catch of roach and perch.

Pike on this river also prefer to stay away from the main stream. It can be caught in bays with standing water. During the period of open water, the predator responds better to minnow-class wobblers and unloaded rubber. In winter, it is easier to catch the toothy fish with jig tackle placed at a depth of 2–3 m.

Summer fishing for pike perch and bersh in the dark is very popular among Ivanovo spinning anglers. At night, these types of predators come close to the shore and begin to hunt fry. The following baits are great for this kind of fishing:

shad class wobblers about 7 cm long and up to 1.5 m deep;
rotating spinners of the “long” type with a silver petal;
Stickbaits.

Active biting usually begins immediately after sunset and lasts 2–3 hours. In inclement weather, such fishing is extremely rarely effective.

Free fishing spots in the Ivanovo region

The Gorky Reservoir is considered one of the most promising places for fishing in the Ivanovo region. The species composition of fish in the reservoir is quite large and they rarely go without a catch. It’s best to fish with a feeder rod, but you won’t be bored with a spinning rod either, you just need to get a boat.

Volga river

Zaborye Lake very often attracts fishermen to its shores. In the reservoir there is enough bream, asp, burbot, pike, catfish, pike perch and carp and many other fish. This is truly a great place for fishing. Fishing here is equally good in both summer and winter. Beautiful landscapes and a lot of fish will not leave fishermen indifferent.

Excellent fishing for bream, roach, pike and perch can take place on a reservoir called Zapadno. This is an excellent place for fishing, one of the most promising lakes in the Ivanovo region. In the reservoir you can do excellent fishing with a spinning rod, float rod and feeder rod.

Lake Sorokino pleases local fishermen with rudd, which are caught all year round. In addition to rudd, pike and perch are often caught, as well as roach and bream. Predatory fish are caught using spinning rods, and some fishermen prefer to fish with live bait gear. Peaceful fish are caught using a float and a feeder.

Gorky Reservoir: the mouth of the Yundoksa River with adjacent islands and the right bank part of the Volga River from the village of Korostelevo to the subsidiary;

the Kistega River from the mouth upstream to the administrative border of the village of Militino and the water area adjacent to the mouth within 300 m from the water’s edge;

the left bank of the Volga River (from the water's edge to the fairway) from the mouth of the Kistega River downstream to the administrative border of the village of Vozdvizhenye;

the Mera River from the mouth upstream to the administrative border of the village of Zorkino and the water area adjacent to the mouth within 300 m from the water's edge;

the right bank part of the Volga River (from the water's edge to the fairway) from the administrative border of the village of Eltinskaya to the administrative border of the village of Berezniki;

Uvod Reservoir: the entire water area of Krasotka Bay from the confluence of the Volga-Uvod canal into it;

Uvodskoye Reservoir: Kuvshin and Dorgomilovo tracts up from the village of Ivankovo;

Lake Galichskoye: throughout the entire water area of the lake and on all tributaries of the lake, with the exception of areas from the canal of JSC Rybak to the mouth of the Lama River and adjacent to populated areas;

Gorky Reservoir: from the water's edge during the spring flood to a width of 100 m in the water area of all bays, around all islands;

at the mouths of all rivers flowing into the Volga River: at a distance of 25 km up from the confluence;

at the mouths of all rivers flowing into the rivers Kostroma, Veksa-Galichskaya, Meza, Nemda, Unzha, Vetluga, Vokhma: at a distance of 15 km upstream from the confluence;

all lakes, oxbows, bays of all rivers in the region;

Gorky Reservoir: throughout the entire water area of the Kostroma Razliv;

Lake Chukhlomskoye: on all tributaries of the lake, throughout its entire water area, with the exception of areas adjacent to populated areas;
