You need to collect strong tackle for catfish, because here you can catch a trophy specimen. Donks and hooks equipped with high-quality thick fishing line work great. You can use different things as bait; catfish will respond well to:

frogs;
a piece of fish with “smell”;
mussels or shrimp.

Even in the summer, catfish from the local reservoirs are practically not caught using spinning rods and simply ignore the silicone baits offered to them.

Pike

Fishing for toothy predators is carried out using spinning rods, and you can fish both along rivers and small lakes. The most commonly used baits are:

Rivers of Novosibirsk

The Ob flows throughout the Novosibirsk region, and it also divides the city itself into two parts. It is not advisable to fish in Novosibirsk itself; the fish here are small and very cautious. You can try your fishing luck:

Lake Karachinskoe is salty. Its size greatly depends on the amount of precipitation. In spring it spreads widely. The water level in Karachinsky also depends on the associated freshwater lakes Uzunkul, Bolshoy and Maly Yarkul. Baraba reservoirs are also very dependent on the amount of precipitation and can dry out by the end of summer. In winter, the thickness of ice on reservoirs can be up to 1 meter. Small rivers and lakes freeze to the very bottom.
