Five of the most expensive wobblers

almost two and a half centuries . According to experts, the first wobbler was manufactured in the state of Michigan during the period when the United States of America was formed into a single state. Nowadays, exhibits released then and at a later time have fabulous value among collectors.

The first batches of artificial baits were often produced in fairly limited quantities, so their value is constantly growing.

In fifth place in the conventional hierarchical list of the most expensive artificial baits is the Heddon Dowagiac Expert , the estimated cost of which is $17,600.

This bait was invented by James Haddon, an apiary owner and journalist from the city of Douwegiaka, already mentioned above in the state of Michigan, at the dawn of the 20th century. The author first called his invention Dowagiac Casting Bait , but in the memory of ordinary people the name was shortened to the memorable Dowagiac Expert.

At one time, this artificial bait gained wild popularity among fishermen all over the world due to the presence of the basic qualities inherent in a wobbler as a device that helps achieve the most desired result. Efficiency was most valued; amateurs were also attracted by affordability.

Nowadays, it is almost impossible to find an example of this bait in perfect condition, which is why it is in high demand among collectors.

Needless to say : it happens that there are more than a dozen people willing to purchase even a box of bait for a thousand dollars at specialized auctions.

The artificial bait Shakespeare Muskellunge Minnow deservedly takes 4th place , whose cost is fixed at $23,100.

Researchers of antiquity believe that this model is precisely the ancestor of the wobbler class in general. At the end of the 18th century, a wooden wobbler was a novelty; this class of artificial bait did not exist in principle. This model of the century was created by the son of a banker, who bore the widely recognizable surname Shakespeare.

The name of this inventor is associated with the beginning of the era of industrial production of wobblers in the USA. No authentic image of the Shakespeare Muskellunge Minnow has survived. The photo shows only a copy of this wobbler.

But this did not prevent, when the initial price for the artificial bait was set at $5,500, from selling the lot for an incredibly high price, which is already indicated here.

Here we will talk about the basic techniques for catching fish with jig baits.

An honorable 3rd place belongs to the Chautaugua Minnow wobbler ; the highest purchase price in our time is recorded at $37,400.

The year 1908 turned out to be a failure for the Krantz & Smith company from New York : the new lure product did not appeal to the majority of those who bought the wobbler sample. The fish itself flatly refused to accept the artificial bait, so it was imprinted in the minds of fishermen as a useless object.

Then the company limited itself to only a single batch, but these days it is precisely this feature that has led to the fact that a real hunt has been declared for this wobbler. And collectors simply do not pay attention to its primary functional strangeness.

In 2nd place was an artificial bait called Unidentified First American Wooden Minnow , whose cost was set at $42,560.

Legend has it that this rare wooden specimen was found in the attic of an abandoned house in Ohio in a box belonging to an avid fisherman. Interested experts are still scratching their heads over the true history of the appearance of this artificial bait.

Some of them, with knowledge of the matter, are inclined to believe: the wobbler was invented at the end of the 19th century and, due to its identity, can be classified as a “minnow” lure. This circumstance allows us to classify the Unidentified First American Wooden Minnow as the progenitor of all types of wood wobblers ever made in the USA.

The lure Giant Haskell Minnow took 1st place ; for the same price ($101,200) the most expensive wobbler presented was purchased in 2003 at all auctions with official status. According to experts, the production of this series of baits began in 1853.

The inventor was Riley Haskel , who achieved perfection in the weapons business. The artificial bait resembled the outline of the fry in appearance. In the design of a wobbler, the designer was the first to use a movable tail mechanism.

The Giant Haskell Minnow was produced in several sizes; the photo above shows a 10-centimeter bait. Modern private collections contain various exhibits of this type.

If a wobbler of exactly this size were cast from bank gold, the cost of the product would be tens of times less than the collection price of this artificial copper bait.

The best vibrotails

The best crank wobblers

Spinning fishermen use a bait of a special shape and size - a crank. This is an imitation of different types of animals, beetles, small plump fish with a specific body shape. Due to the large head and voluminous short body, the product actively plays, attracting a predator and provoking it to attack. The 3 best crank wobblers were selected based on the characteristics and functionality of 15 models, differing in size, shape, design, and price.

Rapala Dives-To

Rapala Dives-To wobblers have positive buoyancy due to the center of gravity shifted to the front. The immersion speed is increased due to the additional weight mounted in the blade. Because of this, the bait quickly reaches the working horizon of the wiring. Its length is 7 cm, weight – 22 g. The model is catchy when casting and trolling. Product material: balsa wood, polycarbonate blade. Plays actively at any speed, creating a crackling sound that attracts predators. The maximum diving depth of 5 m creates an additional opportunity for the fisherman to get a large catch.

Advantages

  • Built-in noise chamber;
  • Design;
  • Uniform wiring;
  • Variety of colors.

Flaws

  • The bait catches on the fishing line when casting.

According to user reviews, the Rapala Dives-To model catches always and everywhere. In clear or rainy weather, in shallow water, with fast currents, large fish are caught in muddy water. It is convenient to fish a large sector from one place due to its weight.

Aqua Bit 40F 018

A manufacturer from Russia has released a bait for all-season uniform fishing for rudd, ide, chub, and perch. The floating crank weighs 2.5 g and is 4 cm long. This is the smallest model for ultralight rods with a depth of 0 - 1 m. It imitates the game of a fry that attracts a predator. Due to the metal balls in the body, an additional acoustic effect is created in shallow water. Perch actively reacts to sound, starting the hunt for bait. There are two triple hooks made of durable metal on the tail and belly; by swallowing them, the fish firmly rests on the rod. The hologram effect in the color of the model additionally attracts the predator.

Advantages

  • Design;
  • catchability;
  • Maneuverability;
  • Uniform fishing technique.

Flaws

  • Quality of material.

Owners of the Aqua Bit 40F 018 crank talk about the poor quality of the material. It is easily bitten by the sharp teeth of fish and becomes unusable after several uses. Despite the good catchability, the price of the model is high; not everyone can buy a crank wobbler.

Itumo Hydro Jack 40SP

The Itumo Hydro Jack 40SP product is made of durable plastic with a paint coating that is resistant to mechanical damage and other physical impacts. The body is equipped with an elongated blade with a fishing line mount and two triple hooks made of high-quality metal. The crank size is 40 mm, weighs 5 g. It is used in rapid flows of stormy rivers and mountain streams at a depth of up to two meters. Not suitable for calm waters. The model is effective in any direction of current flow due to the stabilizing hole on the blade. The manufacturer has provided a variety of colors for catching different breeds of predators that are attracted by the sound made by the product.

Advantages

  • Noise chamber;
  • Stable game;
  • Effective with uniform wiring and soft twitching;
  • Variety of colors.

Flaws

  • Water enters through the eyelet hole and the wobbler sinks.

According to user reviews, baits are sold in boxes that protect from mechanical impact. The manufacturer installs high-quality fittings and sharp hooks on them.

Fishermen note a variety of colors that no other brand has.

Wobblers for trolling 10 best

Today, the fishing market is simply overflowing with baits from different manufacturers. The main task of most wobblers is to attract predatory fish when trolling.

But not all baits are efficient, and the fisherman’s task is to choose the best wobblers for trolling among the variety of non-working models. In order to simplify this task, we have compiled a rating of the 10 best lures.

OSP RUDRA

For more than ten years, Japanese Rudra wobblers have been very popular among anglers. They belong to the minnow class and are 130 mm long. In Japan, the model was used for catching large bass, and when it appeared on the domestic market, it began to be used when hunting large predators, especially pike and pike perch. Today, the wobbler occupies a leading position in the ranking of the best amateur and professional baits.

A distinctive feature of the model is its well-chosen design, which implies the presence of a balancing system with a low center of gravity. This makes it responsive to manipulation and attractive even with slow retrieval. The wobbler performs well with low fish activity.

The specifics of the game are based on a combination of turning the product left and right and yawing around. The joint movements form the characteristic “Rudra signature”.

There are several wobbler models available for sale with varying degrees of buoyancy. There are suspender, neutral, floating, sinking and slowly floating models.

The classic model RUDRA SP, 130 mm long and weighing 20 grams, is effective in areas with abundant vegetation and a depth of up to two meters. It sells for around 1,400 rubles.

Liberty Deep Runner 800F

This bait is famous among many fishermen. It weighs 28 grams and is only 8 centimeters long; with these parameters, the working depth is about 6 meters. The bait is a favorite among fishermen who prefer fishing at medium depths.

Salmo Perch PH12F

Quite a large bait from the Salmo company, its length is 12 centimeters, and it weighs an impressive 36 grams. But, despite such parameters, the working depth range of the Salmo Perch wobbler is from 3 to 3.5 meters.

A universal bait that copes well with catching predators of different species. If you are into trolling fishing, then you simply cannot do without such a wobbler.

Rapala Deep Tail Dancer TDD-11

A well-known dancer from the Finnish company Rapala. The bait is 11 centimeters long and weighs 23 grams. The Deep Tail Dancer TDD-11 goes down to 9 meters, which makes it the best for fishing on rivers.

This is a classic bait that almost all line fishermen have in their arsenal. The wobbler perfectly attracts fish from long distances and works at any fishing speed.

Bomber Fat Free Shad

A miniature bait, the length of which is only 76 millimeters. Bomber Fat Free Shad weighs 21 grams and is capable of working at a depth of up to 7 meters. The element of this bait is catching pike perch. The wobbler does not lose the pace of play and maintains the tracking horizon regardless of the speed of the boat.

The acoustic chamber, which is built inside the Fat Free Shad, creates a noise effect that has a positive effect on the activity of the predator. The pike perch will take such a wobbler without fear, regardless of activity.

Bomber Long B25 A

Another legendary lure from Bomber. Model Long B25 A weighs 20 grams and its length is 11 centimeters. These parameters allow you to fish at depths of up to 7.5 meters.

A classic of trolling fishing, regardless of the publication, this wobbler will always be in the TOP or ranking of the most catchy lures for trolling fishing. Bomber Long is equally suitable for catching pike, pike-perch and catfish.

Megabass Live-X Leviathan

The length of the Megabass Live-X Leviathan wobbler is 9 centimeters, while it weighs 13.5 grams, and is capable of working at a depth of up to 6 meters. This model can become a secret weapon in your fishing box, as it can provoke a passive predator to bite.

When pike perch completely refuses to take bait, Live-X Leviathan is always able to help out the angler. True, only pike perch respond positively to such bait; other species of predator do not respond to the wobbler.

In order for the wobbler to play as naturally as possible, you should not equip it with a leash, fasteners and various winding rings. The use of additional accessories significantly reduces the chances of a bite.

Daiwa TD Crank Scouter-F

A six-centimeter wobbler from Daiwa, which operates at depths of up to 6 meters, is capable of provoking any predatory fish to bite. The bait performs well when fishing for pike, bersh, ide, catfish or pike perch. This is a truly universal bait that has no analogues on the fishing market.

At a depth of 5 to 5.5 meters, many fishermen use this wobbler as their main one. True, the action of the bait is unstable and you have to constantly watch it at the tip of the spinning rod.

The best wobblers Rattlin

A flat, sinking wobbler without a blade is characterized by vibration when retrieved. At the top of the head there is a plane that creates persistence in the water column. Like most lures, they are made of plastic. Metal balls are placed in their body cavities to create noise when the bait is played, similar to a baby rattle. In this nomination, 2 of the best Rattlin wobblers were selected in terms of design, catchability, and functionality.

Jackall Re/70

The sinking bladeless wobbler Jackall Re/70 is the choice of beginners and professional fishermen who want to fish any horizons of reservoirs. The bait is made in the form of a small fish made of plastic with a metal nose and forehead, which fix its position during retrieval, acting as a load. They protect it from damage when hitting a rocky bottom. There is a lead weight in the belly of the wobbler, which makes a specific sound when reeling, which is easily detected by the predator. Weight of 16 g provides good flight characteristics, allowing for accuracy and casting distance.

Advantages

  • Powerful swivels;
  • 2 treble sharp hooks;
  • Suitable for winter and spinning fishing;
  • Plastic top fin to stabilize the ride.

Flaws

  • Price.

A wobbler for 1000 rubles is an expensive pleasure that only a keen fisherman can afford. By purchasing it, you can be sure of your catch.

Large perch, pike perch, and pike willingly take the hook when they hear the sound of the bait and see it play at a great distance.

Yo-Zuri Rattl'N Arms Vibe F307

A brand from Japan offers a Yo-Zuri Rattl'N Arms Vibe F307 trolling wobbler made of high-strength plastic. The product is resistant to mechanical damage and is used in freshwater and salt water bodies at a depth of up to two meters. Model length – 65 mm, weight – 17 g. Wobbler without a blade, but with noise balls inside to attract the attention of large fish. They provide casting range and stabilization in flight to prevent hooks from overlapping the fishing line. Sharp hooks adhere well to prey, preventing it from escaping. With uniform fishing near the bottom, wavy and stepped, you can catch perch, pike perch, ide, chub, and pike.

Advantages

  • Hooks made of vanadium with a chemically sharpened tip;
  • catchability;
  • Manky game;
  • Variety of colors.

Flaws

  • The fish quickly eats the bait.

Reviews about the Yo-Zuri Rattl'N Arms Vibe F307 bait are positive. Fishermen note that large fish are caught even at dusk when fishing smoothly with short pauses. If you remove the hook from the belly, the model catches less grass from the bottom, and this will not affect the game.

The best vertical wobblers

The bait for winter ice fishing is a vertical sinking wobbler that does not have a blade. They are divided into fast and slow-sinking depending on the weight of the product. Manufacturers equip them with two treble hooks, rarely doubles or single hooks. They are popular because of the convenient attachment at the top of the fish’s body, as well as the possibility of using a wobbler in winter and summer. The rating of wobblers for ice fishing is based on the studied characteristics of more than 17 models.

Lucky Craft Sammy 115 F

The body of the bait is elongated with a bowl-shaped head in the upper part of the body and takes a vertical position after stopping. The head remains on the surface, creating an additional splash. Fishermen use the smooth movements of the product to attract predators, characteristic exclusively of the Lucky Craft Sammy 115 F model. The wobbler, 11.5 cm long and weighing 18.5 g, attracts the attention of pike, perch and other large predatory fish. The dimensions of the product do not prevent it from penetrating the wind well when casting. In flight it does not tumble, hitting exactly the right casting point.

Advantages

  • Good flight qualities;
  • Works with waves and currents;
  • 2 treble sharp hooks;
  • Attractive to predators.

Flaws

  • The quality of the material depends on the color.

According to fishermen, the Lucky Craft wobbler is effective when a predator feeds on the surface of the water. It is suitable for beginners and advanced spinning players because it is clear and easy to learn. A wobbler can be used to catch fish of different weights and species in calm reservoirs and fast-flowing rivers.

OSP Daibuzzn Heavy Hitter 64F

The floating model OSP Daibuzzn Heavy Hitter 64F is designed to attract large fish in poor visibility conditions. The wide body with flattened sides and tungsten balls at the bottom add intensity to the game. The thin plastic blade is located vertically relative to the body of the product - it protects from grass and obstacles and creates additional vibrations. The model is used at a depth of up to 0.3 m, cast into vegetation underwater to see the reaction of a predator to a bait of bright, attractive colors. Pike, perch, and pike perch instantly respond to the active play of the wobbler, and two triple sharp hooks tenaciously hold the catch.

Advantages

  • Works well in shallow water;
  • Technology to lighten the body by 40%;
  • Length 64 mm;
  • Weight 17 g;
  • The price is about 300 rubles.

Flaws

  • The quality of the hooks is poor.

The OSP Daibuzzn Heavy Hitter 64F works well in muddy water or areas where duckweed and grass accumulate. Feedback from fishermen speaks of the interesting play of the bait and the reaction of a predator to it in shallow water. The wobbler creates powerful vibrations, increasing the chances of a catch.

Unusual wobblers – REBEL

Spinning. Lures: all notes, author's notes.

Among the truly huge number of wobbler manufacturers, it is REBEL that produces a fairly large assortment of very unusual wobblers - small baits with an original body shape.

REBEL Bumble Bug is a 3.7 centimeter fly wobbler with transparent plastic wings. A small ultralight wobbler can be used in many situations. This includes wiring with a regular wobbler with a depth of up to 60 centimeters and jerk wiring without the bait surfacing. Jerk wiring like a popper gives a very good effect. A small smooth jerk - the bait goes deep with a slight gurgle, pause, the bait floats up. An additional “bulge” is obtained due to the plastic translucent wings. Very similar to the behavior of a swimming beetle. Of the color scale (6 types), I liked the dark green color the most in my work. Most species of fish can be caught with a fly, but the main trophies are the ubiquitous perch, as well as chub, ide and trout. Pay attention to the size of the hooks - it is very small - No. 14. From my point of view, with such a “plump” body shape, the size of the hooks should be increased to No. 10. You can remove two small hooks and install one larger one. Or put two larger hooks, but made of thinner wire. Particularly good for such purposes (replacing hooks with larger ones on light wobblers) are the Dive tees of the “Silver Creek” series. These are lightweight, thin tees with a very sharp tip. But be careful - if you periodically knock your bait on a rocky bottom, then these tees are not for you, since their long thin tip instantly dulls on the stones. But for surface fishing these are ideal hooks. REBEL Crickhopper Popper – a grasshopper-shaped popper. One of the best baits for catching chub. The passionate “love” of the chub for grasshoppers has long been known. Although I strongly doubt that the chub takes this bait precisely because it identifies the “grasshopper-like” shape. The sizes and colors of these lures work well for these fish. The behavior of this popper in water, when positioned correctly, closely imitates a grasshopper caught in the water. The color scale has 7 positions, the most effective of which, in my opinion, are black and fi tiger. Although, according to some “ultralighters,” green also works well. Almost mandatory for fishing with this bait is the presence of thin braid, not fishing line. The line only works with very short casts - no more than 10 meters. Where this distance is sufficient, it is better to use thin monofilament (recommended diameter up to 0.15). At longer distances, braid will give the bait a clearer play. Remember also that the bait is small and the jerks should be short, 10–20 centimeters long. Ideal conditions for working with micropoppers are river sections with heavily overgrown banks and overhanging trees. It is in such places that the fish are “accustomed” to surface feeding on small objects. Caterpillars, butterflies and other living creatures, including the grasshoppers we are talking about, often fall into the water in such places and are carried away by the current. REBEL Crickhopper is the same grasshopper, only it is made in the form of a classic wobbler - with a blade for deepening. Wiring either as usual - evenly, or in jerks with ascent. It is no different from a regular wobbler, both in type and in catchability. Just the small size of the bait (4 and 5 centimeters) is well suited for catching semi-predators - ide, chub and others. This wobbler doesn’t work in a stream; it loses play, but in “barrels” it can work quite successfully. This bait should not be perceived as similar to a grasshopper. === In contrast to the same popper, Crickhopper plays like a regular wobbler and is in no way superior to its fish-shaped counterparts in terms of catchability. But if you work it as a “semi-popper”, that is, do jerking with frequent stops and ascents, then there can be an effect. Although personally, even in such a situation, I would prefer a regular wobbler - this model’s body shape is too pretentious. REBEL Crawfish – crayfish wobbler. The body shape is made in the form of a cancer. The line of these baits has 4 sizes with different depths. The smallest crustacean is 3.8 centimeters, and the largest is 6.5. The depth of these wobblers ranges from half a meter to 3 meters. These baits are of interest specifically for reservoirs in which crayfish are not isolated, but partly make up the fish’s diet. Although this bait can be used as a regular wobbler. Wiring, again, is desirable with stops and pauses. From the line of these baits, you must choose a model that is obviously deeper than the intended fishing location. That is, the wiring must be “plug-in”. We deepen the bait, hit the bottom, pause, surface 30 centimeters, retrieval again... This is quite similar to the behavior of cancer. So far, this bait has worked well in sand quarries when casting for pike and large perch. But this is according to my information. These baits came to Russia not so long ago and there are no definite statistics on them yet. REBEL Tadfry – tadpole. The smallest of the REBEL wobblers. Body in the form of a tadpole, small nasal blade, one triplet No. 12. Four color options - two natural and two acidic. The bait is intended for catching semi-predators or simply for small predators. The wobbler does not work well in a strong stream. The ideal place for it is quiet areas with a depth of up to half a meter. In general, I have practically never seen wobblers smaller than this. There were several "Japanese" people. But there are simply no American analogues to Tadfry. Of course, in order to catch them, you need the lightest spinning rod, whose lower test limit is no more than 1 - 2 grams. The fishing line must also match - 0.14 is the limit at which the bait begins to behave incorrectly. Well, let me remind you once again that you cannot put any swivels or fasteners on such a bait - only a loop knot. But there is a way out - all microwobblers work great when combined with a “bombetta” (sbirulino, bombarda - the same thing). We thread the fishing line into the bombette, tie a swivel, to which we attach a leash from a meter to three meters long, depending on the length of the rod. We put a microwobbler on the leash, and the casting distance increases as much as desired. Thus, you can easily fish after-roll lulls, stretches of rivers, and any other places where small bait cannot be reached and where before we have always fished only with medium-heavy castmasters or jigs. And here we get the opportunity to cast the smallest bait far from the shore. The main difficulty is the choice of bombette buoyancy. This was written about in fishing magazines in some detail. Here I will just say that I most often use the “suspending” type. On the one hand, such a “bombette” does not create a “whisker” on the surface of the water, but it can also be buried. The option of a slowly sinking structure is also good. But in the case of sinking wobblers, which is the Cat'r Crawler, I use the floating option. This allows you to control the depth. That is, if the depth at the fishing spot is 2 meters, then with a leash of the same length your bait will never get caught, but at the same time you can force it to go near the very bottom. REBEL Cat'r Crawler - caterpillar. Its operating principle is similar to that of a cicada. The bait is sinking, and therefore it flies quite well, and you can deepen it quite successfully. All semi-predators (ide, chub, trout) are caught with it. It’s good to throw this bait under overhanging bushes and let it float a little. At the same time, the bait will go deeper. When pulling, the caterpillar makes wobbler movements with low frequency. There should be no fasteners or swivels - otherwise the bait will get lost in play and go to the side. Just tie a rapala knot and everything will be great. Like the previous bait, this one can be used with a “bombetta” (the same applies to the entire series of small wobblers and even poppers). REBEL Wee Frog - frog. The wobbler has two sizes - 3.8 and 5 centimeters. Body shape in the form of a swimming frog. The rest is an ordinary wobbler. There are 4 color options - all natural, frog-like. Pike can be caught well off the shore, near grass and reeds. The depth of baits is up to 0.5 and 1 meter, respectively. This bait must be used with stops and ascent. It is very good to take long pauses with only a slight movement of the bait. This can work at a time when you are sure that the pike is standing at exactly that point. This bait perfectly imitates the behavior of a frog. It works well close to the shore, where wood frogs often end up in the water. Unfortunately, this bait does not hold grass at all, so it can only be used in clean areas or along vegetation. For me, the Wee Frog has given the best results on several lakes in their shallow coves. The center of the bay is usually overgrown with water lilies, along the shores there are various types of thread-like algae interspersed with duckweed, but the last meter to the shore is usually open. The depth there is rarely more than 30 centimeters, the bottom is strewn with fallen leaves and tree branches. This is where the frog shows itself. Yes, the grappler here rarely weighs more than a kilo, but it almost always holds on. It is not necessary to work with a cord - monofilament is enough. Moreover, the trophies are not large. The only time you can install a thicker line, such as 0.2 - 0.22mm, is when there are a lot of water lilies growing nearby - even a small cord can easily slip into them when playing. REBEL Hellgrammite – dragonfly larva. This bait in its natural form is an excellent choice for perch, and almost any other fish of decent size. And this sinking option also has a natural play. The bait flies well and is good for catching the edges of the grass. It is better for her to work using the “count down” method, that is, lowering. Something like a jig, but without touching the bottom. The size of the bait corresponds to the natural size - 4.5 centimeters, with a weight of 2.5 grams. It is made in all the smallest details, right down to the paws and eyes. How much this is necessary is up to you to decide. But it’s worth saying that the fish attacks this bait at a fairly low speed, that is, the fish has time to examine it. Perhaps in this case the elaboration of details is important. The ideal situation for using this bait is a quiet backwater, water lilies, rare large perch (from 300 grams and above) or other fish such as chub, ide, although the conditions for catching these fish are different. In general, the use of dragonfly larvae is beneficial if there is aquatic vegetation nearby, and hard vegetation, such as reeds or water lilies. Here the fish are more accustomed to such “baits.” As I said, the wiring technique is similar to jigging - let it sink, slow! stretch 20-30 centimeters, pause, stretch again. The casts are short, precise, into the edge of the weeds. The bait is not hook-free, so the casts must be accurate. REBEL Buzz'n Frog is a frog with rotating legs. A large double is used as a hook, which always looks up. This allows you to move the bait right across the surface of the grass. Additionally, the frog's paws rotate and beat off tough grass - reeds, water lilies, horsetail. The size of the frog is quite large and it moves with sufficient noise, so the size of the trophies is rarely less than a kilogram. A good bait for catching pike on the grass. Unfortunately, this bait does not like filamentous algae - they wrap around the “legs” of the frog and it stops rotating, which slightly narrows its scope of application. In some ways this bait is akin to a “Buzzbait”, and it certainly doesn’t look like a frog in the water. There have been attempts to drive it with stops, but the best effect is still achieved by evenly driving it through sparse grass. Author of the article Maxim Balachevtsev
