I should have gone to Saratov twenty years ago. Traveling around Russia with a spinning rod is becoming more and more difficult from year to year. Especially in those regions where there are at least two boats per family, and literally every man, who is a talented spinning player, and who is a fifth-generation fisherman. There is still a lot of fish in the Volga, but the competition among fishermen is serious. Day and night people want to fish. And in Saratov, they really want it.
If you are an Arab Sheikh, or the shadow mayor of Saratov, then upon arrival at Gagarin airport, you will be taken to a cozy pier in five minutes and taken on a luxury boat to the city center, accompanied by security and police. Petya told us that he doesn’t bite during the day. Even on snags? During the day, on snags, perhaps only pike. And in this, he was right. We caught pike on snags, and on the “dig” too. Exactly two pieces, that is, about nothing. Young people get high, catch asp. Older fishermen, from morning to evening, knock on the bottom with a “three-edge”. They catch pike perch, but from extreme depths, not ours.
The endless expanses amaze the imagination. If you want to change the point, you will burn half a tank of gasoline.
