Surskoye Reservoir
In the Sursky Reservoir you can catch pike perch, catfish, carp, tench, roach, crucian carp, pike and the rare common sculpin (listed in the Red Book).
Surskoye Reservoir
The more you fish in this reservoir, the more you become convinced that the habitat of the fish depends not only on the bottom topography, but also on the nature of the current.
When we talk about relief, we mean the geometry, density and nature of the bottom, the presence of snags and depressions. It is the bottom topography that will be the main factor in choosing a fishing spot.
Fishing in the Penza region. The most fishy places
Usually they pick up a map and a navigator and go in search of cool places.
But before you get ready to go, you need to clarify who you want to catch first. This is not the first time for experienced fishermen; they are familiar with the nature of the fish, the bite according to the time of day and suitable weather.
For beginners, it will be useful to know that the most fishing places in the Penza region are:
Ponds Shchukinsky, Mikhalovsky, Lopukhovsky, Bogoslovsky, Gulyaevsky;
Neki Sura, Koldais;
Surskoye Reservoir.
Fishing on the lakes
None of the true fishermen will ever write the names of rivers and specific fishing spots in the public domain, it is dangerous: a pilgrimage could happen.
Sometimes you can say with confidence about “whether it bites or not” only after fishing. After all, a lot depends on the time of year.
The lakes around Penza are home to several species of fish, including:
Pike;
Carp;
Perch;
Crucian carp.
Their greatest activity is observed during the feeding period. This is the time when fishing brings the most joy.
When the pike spawns, you need to catch it along mini-rivers with calm reaches. Although it can also be found on slightly larger rivers.
In open water, pike do not bite because they are covered in snags. Where trees are visible under water, there are not only pike, but also roach and perches.
If you go fishing for crucian carp, take dill and garlic. Dill will be useful as bait, and rub garlic on a worm or maggot.
Crucian carp, living in lakes and rivers, are caught using a blacksmith, a worm, a fry or a fly.
On the Uza River, where poplars grow, there is good fishing for crucian carp and carp with a fishing rod from the shore. On Sura, in places below the TPP-1 dam, you can catch crucian carp.
On a fast river, however, it is less likely to be caught, but at the border between the current and the grass it bites, and only on pearl barley.
Sura River
The Sura is a tributary of the Volga and is interesting for fishing at any time of the year. On the Sura there are catfish, sterlet, bream, pike perch, asp, pike, sabrefish, crucian carp, roach, silver bream, white-eye, perch, ruff, sprat, bleak.
Sura River
Winter fishing. With the first ice on the river you can catch excellent pike. When winter completely covers these places, pike perch and bersh begin to be caught. At the end of winter, bream, bream, roach, pike perch and perch go well.
Koldais River
Go to map view
If you are interested in fishing on the Koldais River, then here you can catch: carp, crucian carp, pike, pike perch, perch, bream, catfish, ide, redeye and much more.
Koldais is an amazing place not only for fishing, but also for relaxing in a picturesque place, remote from civilization. If you head along the river, you will come close to the reservoir.
Bream bites well on pearl barley , perch , and redeye on maggots . Local fishermen constantly boast that the catfish here are simply trophy-sized.
If you decide to go fishing in the summer, then in July there is nowhere to hide from the fluff and heat. In this case, offset hooks will come in handy. For active spinners, the following unpleasant situation arises - the fluff completely envelops the fence. And so much so that the latter often begins to get stuck in the rings.
There is so much fluff that you have to look for places with at least a little current. After you cast the bait, you need to constantly monitor the process. After the slightest sensation of contact with the fish, pull immediately. Otherwise you might miss the bite.
Footage from winter fishing on Koldais:
Of course, there will definitely be hooks. Therefore, if you do not want to lose your bait, it is better to fish with a float, although hooks are less expensive. Here, those who don’t take risks won’t get much of a catch.
Crow River
In the upper reaches of the river there are gudgeon, chub, dace, in the lower reaches - roach, ide, asp, pike, perch, bream, pike perch. Some areas are inhabited by large-sized catfish.
Crow River
For asp hunting, the period chosen is closer to the end of May. It is better to look for the predator at the confluence of small tributaries. Pike perch bite better at night. You need to look for it on the edges and exits from the recesses at the bottom.
Fishing is easy
Obviously, we have to catch it first. If you do not have enough knowledge about how this or that variety of fresh fish bites, we are ready to fill this gap. Paid fishing in the Penza region will not be successful if you do not know how to hook.
We have studied our fish, now we know all its secrets! Here are just some tips on who bites and how exactly - this should help you:
- The best time to catch carp is in the summer. It responds well to plant baits, especially dough and grain. Carp avoid shallow water, so you will have to move further away from the shore;
- Silver carp - it is better to catch it in the morning. If the water temperature is high, it stops responding to artificial baits;
- grass carp - if silver carp ignores artificial baits only when the water warms up to 25 degrees, then this species does not react to them at all. You can catch it only using plant components. This could be seaweed, corn stalks, cucumber strings;
- perch - it is quite easy to catch, even for novice anglers. He does not play with the float, but immediately begins to drown it. It is at this moment that you need to hook the fishing rod;
Paid fishing in the Penza region, which is offered by the Armievo recreation center, is a truly unforgettable and enjoyable vacation, not only for a single fisherman, but also for families and large companies.
