Review of Boat Kazanka 5M3: Good boat. One of the best creations of our water-motor industry

Characteristics of the boat "Kazanka-5M2"

General information Motorboats “Kazanka 5m2”, “Kazanka 5m3”, “Kazanka 5m4” are a modernized version of the “Kazanka 5m” model.
The models are produced by JSC KAPO im. Gorbunova. These boat models inherited from their predecessor the ability to operate in closed waters - at a distance of up to 5 km from the shore and wave heights of up to 1.25 meters. And also in open reservoirs - at a distance of up to 3 km from the shore and a wave height of up to 0.75 meters. In addition, it can be used in both salt water and fresh water. These projects were developed for tourism and fishing, but at the moment, for example, “Kazanka 5m4” is operated by various service organizations whose activities are related to movement on water. For the first time, the model of the boat “Kazanka 5m4” was presented to the public in 1989, at a competition that was taking place at that time. Hull The production of the hull of motor boats “Kazanka 5m2, 5m3, 5m4” is carried out from aluminum alloy sheets by riveting. The sheets located on the bottom and sides are also connected with staples. Motorboats have a decked bow. The deck has a lid that allows access to the luggage compartment. This trunk can be used for fishing with a spinning rod - one person can freely stand inside. Of course, this is not the most convenient placement, however, when fishing with two or three people, such placement makes it possible not to create discomfort for each other when casting. In the bow there are buoyancy blocks, which, thanks to well-thought-out placement, allow a fully flooded motorboat to be maintained in a level and horizontal position. The Kazanka 5m motor boat is equipped with soft, folding seats. It has better contours than previous models, they have become smoother, while both the bow and deadrise at the transom have increased in size by 8.5°. Thanks to a series of innovations, the 5m4 model has excellent maneuverability and seaworthiness.

Cockpit Motorboats “Kazanka 5m2”, “Kazanka 5m3”, “Kazanka 5m4” have a free and ergonomic cockpit, the layout of which is automotive type, the control place is located on the left. The luggage compartment is organized in the front deck, and is accessed through a hatch cover. It should be noted that the cockpit of the motorboat is almost completely protected from oncoming wind and splashes thanks to a two-section curved windshield. The cockpit has an aft sofa and two seats with soft pads. For the convenience of team members, there are storage shelves on the sides. The manufacturer also produces a model of the Kazanka 5m4 motor boat with a cabin, which makes it possible for two crew members to do without a tent when spending the night outdoors.

Seaworthiness The permissible motor power declared by the designer for installation on the Kazanka 5m4 motor boat is 60 hp. for domestic engines and 55 hp. for imported developments. However, the transom of the motorboat allows the installation of two motors. It is important to note that the remote control is quite simply mounted on two motors. With the maximum permitted engine power and partial load, the vessel can accelerate to speeds of up to 55 km/h, but sudden maneuvers must be avoided, since, despite the fact that the boat model has improved stability, there remains a tendency to capsize at high speed. Therefore, the recommended total power of the PLM should be taken into account, which should not be more than 50 hp. Typically 45 hp. It is quite enough to put the Kazanka 5m4 motor boat on plane when fully loaded.

Boats Kazanka

The Kazanka boat has not been produced for a long time, but this does not stop fishermen from using it. Such boats begin their history in 1955 and are still found on reservoirs, and quite often. This can be explained by excellent technical characteristics and low price.

The only bad thing is that today it is only possible to buy a used boat. And for a new one, I would even give a fairly large sum, since they are very reliable and tested by many years of experience among fishermen.

Historical facts

More than half a century ago, in 1955, the first boat called “Kazanka” rolled off the assembly line. The manufacturer is the S.P. Gorbunov Aviation Production Association. It is located in Kazan. This is most likely where the name of the boat came from.

The first boat models were made using an innovative material at that time - duralumin. It was also used for the construction of aircraft and spacecraft. Let us remember that duralumin is an alloy of copper, aluminum and manganese. Hence its advantages: lightness, strength, long service life. In addition, duralumin structures do not rot or corrode.

The technical characteristics of the Kazanka motor boat in the first years of production are not the best. Despite this, the appearance of a domestically assembled boat came in handy. This event did not pass by lovers of river recreation.

History of Kazanka boats

For a long time, Kazanka boats occupied pride of place as the only motorized punt produced for sale. They were produced from 1955 to 1978, along with modifications Yuzhanka and Kazanka-M. In total, about 200 thousand boats were produced.

The boat is certainly good, but it had to be discontinued due to a number of shortcomings, namely low stability and heavy load when using even low-power motors. Such shortcomings became a serious obstacle to fishing as soon as Vikhr motors went into production; under their weight, boats simply broke or capsized.

Kazanka boats were produced with the sides tilted inside the hull, which significantly reduced the space in them and worsened the width of the waterline. And a narrow waterline is a guaranteed coup on sharp turns.

The lack of a motor niche on the Kazanka also played bad jokes on it; often the boat was simply flooded with water. And in the end, 80 different inspections and authorities banned the use of the Kazanka boat on the water. From that moment on, the production of its modifications Yuzhanka, Kazanka-MD and Kazanka-M began.

Preparation for work and operation

The Kazanka-5M2 boat, the description and characteristics of which are given above, will serve for a long time. But for this you need to follow some simple rules for its operation.

First you need to properly prepare the motorboat for work. It is necessary to read the instructions, which are necessarily included in the list of supplied items. Next, you must act in accordance with the instructions given therein.

All elements and parts must be removed from the luggage compartment of the boat. They need to be installed on the ship's hull. The same operating instructions will help you find out how to do this. When all available parts and equipment have been installed, you can begin operating the boat.

When using the Kazanka, especially in an active environment (for example, in sea water), it is necessary to carefully monitor the condition of the boat’s hull. To do this, a visual inspection of its surface is carried out for scratches and the condition of the paint as a whole. This is done on land after cleaning the surface of the ship from contamination (sand, debris). If any damage occurs to the paintwork, it must be restored. It is prohibited to operate a motor boat with damaged paint.

The windshield should always be clean. Wash it with clean water or soap and water. It is prohibited to use solvents, acids, alkalis and other chemicals for this purpose.

Inspect and lubricate control cables regularly. Watch their tension. If broken cable fibers are visible, carefully press them with pliers.

Characteristics of the Kazanka boat

It is difficult to give the main characteristics of the Kazanka boat; they will all be generalized and vary depending on the modification of the model. Let's first look at the general characteristics, and then move on to different boat models.

  • The maximum length of Kazanka boats can be up to 4.6 meters;
  • The width can be up to 1.2 meters;
  • The average deadrise angle of boats is 4 degrees;
  • The height of the sides of the boat is 68 centimeters;
  • The average load capacity is an impressive 400 kg;
  • Mostly the boats are four-seater;
  • Design features allow you to reach speeds of up to 25 km/h.

Technical characteristics of the motor boat Kazanka 2M

Lokda Kazanka 2M is considered the largest boat ever produced in the USSR. This is one of the best modifications that is still popular today. But as such, its technical characteristics coincide with the list above, so we will not repeat ourselves, but will only present you with a photo and consider its modifications in more detail.

Motor boat type Kazanka 5M2

Kazanka 5M2 is considered the most popular modification. It still occupies a leading position on the Avito bulletin board and on the fishing markets of St. Petersburg and Moscow. The main characteristics are:

  • Length 4.5 meters;
  • Width 1.6 meters;
  • Capable of lifting loads up to 400 kilograms;
  • Capable of reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h;
  • Designed for 4 people.

Motorboat model Kazanka 5M4

Modified Kazanka 5M4 boats have been produced since 1990. The main difference between the boat and other models is the convex contour of the hull and the increased deadrise angle at the transom of 8.5 degrees. And I was also very pleased that the manufacturers managed to get rid of the yaw of the boat in a headwind, increasing engine power and maximum speed.

Characteristics of the motor boat 5M7

Among the generalized characteristics, we have highlighted some maximum values. Now let's talk more specifically about the technical characteristics of the Kazanka 5M7 boat:

  1. Its length is 4.6 meters;
  2. Width – 1.65 meters;
  3. It is capable of lifting loads up to 400 kg;
  4. The boat can be equipped with a motor with a power of up to 50 hp;
  5. The boat is five-seater;
  6. The manufacturer indicates a service life of 15 years.

Boat hull and its dimensions

The technical characteristics of the Kazanka-5M2 depend on its dimensions. The dimensions of this model are as follows:

  • The length of the vessel is four and a half meters.
  • Width - one hundred and sixty centimeters.
  • Height - seventy-two centimeters.

The body itself was made of duralumin. The main elements are fastened together with rivets. There is a seal between the parts that will be under water. The entire body is primed and painted with waterproof paint.

The carrying capacity of four hundred kilograms made it possible to accommodate a crew of four (or five) people. At the same time, the curb weight of the boat was one hundred and ninety kilograms.

How much does the Kazanka boat cost?

It would also be wrong to consider prices for Kazanka boats as a general concept. Let's first look at the modifications. If we talk about the main ones, there are only three of them:

And the price of each modification depends on the choice of basic configuration and equipment with additional goodies and equipment (awnings, arches, motor, oars, etc.).

If you average the numbers a little, analyzing sales forums and various message boards, you can get an average price of 170,000 rubles - 230,000 rubles .

Motorboats “Kazanka-5”, “Kazanka-5M”, “Kazanka-5M2”, “Kazanka-5M3”, “Kazanka-5M4”.

The Kazanka-5 motorboat was produced by the aircraft plant named after. S.P. Gorbunova for 6 years, starting in 1972. The vessel was designed with the expectation of increased seaworthiness and comfort with the limited power of outboard motors produced by the domestic industry. To ensure the possibility of planing with one motor with a power of 25

30 hp The contours of the hull are adopted with a relatively low deadrise of the bottom at the transom and with a strong sharpening of the bow tip. The consequence of this is good driving performance and low trim when sailing with a full load. When sailing in rough water, however, the boat, crashing into the wave, skids dangerously. The small running trim causes an increased wetted length of the hull, so the maximum speed of the Kazanka-5 is somewhat lower than that of other boats of similar dimensions.

Operation of the boat is allowed at a distance of up to 3 km from the shore with a wave height of up to 0.75 m. On the Kazanka-5 model, the installation of one motor with a power of no more than 30 hp is allowed.

The hull of the motorboat is of riveted construction made of D1AT duralumin alloy; In addition to the set, the rigidity of the bottom and sides is ensured thanks to stamped rifts and landings. Connections of plating sheets along the keel and on the sides

reinforced with pressed profiles. Body weight - 145 kg. Unsinkability is ensured by foam blocks, which are fixed in the bow and stern below the deck. In the event of a wave, the boat remains afloat with all passengers sitting in it.

In the Kazanka-5 model, the motor is mounted on an external bracket. This option for installing the motor has both advantages and disadvantages. First of all, it saves space in the cockpit. Thanks to the bracket, it was possible to equip a lockable trunk at the stern of the Kazanka-5, in which an outboard motor can be stored when parked. The design of the aft part of the hull has become simpler, since there is no need for a self-draining niche - the freeboard on the transom is of sufficient height to prevent flooding. The centering of the boat has improved somewhat thanks to the removal of the motor (or even two) behind the transom.

The disadvantages of mounting on a bracket include an increase in the length of the boat, inconvenience of maintenance and repair, vulnerability of the motor during mooring and its worse protection from being flooded by waves than when installed in a recession. Tests of the Kazanka-5 version, equipped with a recess, showed no worse performance than with a bracket, so in 1978 the production of this version of the boat began. The “5M” model has an external bracket designed to install two motors.

The forepeak is equipped with a bow trunk, separated from the cockpit by an inclined solid bulkhead. To stow things in it, there is a hatch on the deck with a lid that can be locked. The cockpit has 4 folding soft chairs; The sides are equipped with shelves and cabinets for small items. The cockpit is covered with an awning with detachable sides.

Motor boat Kazanka

It is customary to move along the water surface for the purpose of short travel or fishing on ordinary motor boats. This is a universal swimming device for one, two or three people, allowing you to move fairly quickly across the surface of the water. Today, products of this type are extremely in demand on the market. One of the most common series is “Kazanka”. Kazanka boats are presented in many variations, differing in technical characteristics.

It is worth noting that today on the market you can find a large number of counterfeit and low-quality products, which will jeopardize both the success of navigation and the safety of passengers. So when purchasing, it is better to give preference to trusted suppliers.

Boat "Kazanka-M"

Boat structure

The Kazanka-5M2 motorboat consists of the following main parts:

The motor boat is conventionally divided into two compartments: bow and working (cockpit).

A windshield organic glass is installed on the deck, directly in front of the working compartment. Its purpose is to protect the crew and passengers from splashing water and wind. The glass itself consists of two parts (right and left). There is a profile frame around the glass. It is used for fastening to the deck. For this, special brackets are used. A rubber gasket is placed at the joints of individual elements. It protects against vibration and mechanical damage to the glass.

The outboard engine is controlled by a cable system. The control system can be divided into two components: remote and steering. The driver controls the boat using the steering wheel and remote control. From the steering wheel to the motor itself there is a system of cables that turn the engine. In addition, they provide throttle and braking control.

A remote control panel is required if Neptune or Whirlwind power units are attached to the vessel.

The bottom of the motor boat “Kazanka-5M2” is covered with sleds. They are made of waterproof plywood. The slings are fixed to the frame of the vessel with screws.

Main characteristics of the boat "Kazanka"

This vehicle can be briefly described as follows:

  • can hold up to four hundred kilograms, which is equivalent to four passengers with fishing equipment;
  • can go out to sea no further than one and a half kilometers and only in calm weather;
  • quite unstable on the water due to the not particularly rational placement of partitions between the compartments;
  • has a low draft, which contributes to successful planing;
  • has high maneuverability, which is especially appreciated when moving along small rivers;
  • the housing is sealed and made of duralumin;
  • the maximum speed that the boat can reach is 40 kilometers per hour. When installing a more powerful motor, it is still not recommended to develop a higher speed to maintain tightness.

Technical characteristics of the boat "Kazanka-M"

The changes that became a feature of this modification can be presented in the form of the following list:

  • stern bulges were added to provide better buoyancy and stability on the water;
  • a windshield was added;
  • hard seats installed;
  • the sub-engine niche was eliminated, which eliminated frequent flooding of the engine with water;
  • the width of the boat has increased;
  • The carrying capacity has increased slightly, but the passenger capacity has remained the same.

Review and technical characteristics of Kazanka boats

In the USSR, motor boats were very popular. The Kazanka boat has been produced since 1955. The name of the boat comes from the name of the city where the production of the Kazansky Aircraft Plant is located. The first model Kazanka M, or its second name Yuzhanka, was not very reliable: the compartments were placed incorrectly, as a result of which the boat could easily capsize. Gradually, production developed, and new models Kazanka 2M, 5M with various modifications, and the latest version Kazanka 6M were born.

Technical characteristics of the boat "Kazanka-2M"

Compared to Kazanka-2, this boat has even greater maneuverability and even greater carrying capacity. Nevertheless, its original passenger capacity remained at the same level. The boat does not have a built-in engine, and it can move both due to the operation of motors and due to oars. When dry, the boat weighs two and a half hundred kilograms.

Motor boat "Kazanka 2M"

Review of the boat type "5M2"

The Kazanka-5M2 motorboat replaced the 5M model, which had its drawbacks. They were connected to the outrigger transom, the weakest part of the vessel. There were even cases when it completely fell off. These problems were solved by the developers. The result of their refinement resulted in the creation of a new model. Its production began in 1978. Not only the design was changed, but also the technical characteristics.

"Kazanka-5M2" had a traditional way of placing the transom. Changes have been made to the windshield and cockpit layout. But this version of the boats was not without its drawbacks. They were hidden, again, in the side branches. Due to them, during the wind, the bow of the boat hit the wave, creating a large amount of spray. The boat began to slow down, and the spray flew onto the passengers.

In calm weather, due to the large wetted surface, the boat had difficulty overcoming the resistance of the water. This caused difficulties in movement.

Production of the “5M2” modification was completed by the end of the eighties of the last century. It was replaced by the “5M3” model.

Motor boats "Kazanka-5M2" and "Kazanka-5M3" differed slightly. The latest model had a reinforced frame. At the same time, its engine was more powerful - sixty horsepower.

Technical characteristics of the boat "Kazanka-5"

Kazanka-5 was the second major update to the design and technical characteristics of the boat. Here are the main indicators:

  • designed for four people with full equipment;
  • The housing is made of reinforced duralumin alloy, which ensures high strength and tightness. All reviews of using this boat in difficult weather conditions are positive, which speaks of its versatility;
  • the design assumes the presence of soft folding seats;
  • a motor with a power of up to 30 horsepower can be installed;
  • has a low draft, and therefore can easily maneuver even in shallow and small-sized bodies of water;
  • characterized by a high level of corrosion resistance, which has been confirmed by numerous owners.

Technical characteristics of the boat "Kazanka-6"

The Kazanka-6 and Kazanka-6M boats are fundamentally different from all the models described above. They are as simple and spacious as possible. They can fit up to three people, which is equivalent to three hundred kilograms. The boats are characterized by the lowest possible draft, but can only be used in relatively calm weather. As a rule, they are used for transportation on small lakes and rivers. The dry weight of such boats is very small - up to hundreds of kilograms. In most cases they are used for rowing. The boats are characterized by maximum ease of use and high anti-corrosion properties.

Motor boat Kazanka-2M

Advantages of the boat

Having brought the boat from the store, the partners discovered on its nameplate the characteristic: “boat weight – 220 kg.” Knowing that the reference book for “Kazanka-2M” gave a weight value of 250 kg. (see above), the buyers were very happy about this circumstance. Later, on occasion, weighing the boat, they were convinced that the boat really weighed 220 kg with all the passport equipment.

At first, “Kazanka-2M” was operated under “Vikhrem-M” and “Veterok-8”, which were “inherited” from inflatable boats and rafts. Thanks to the “twisted” contours and the large L/B aspect ratio, the total power of these two motors is 33 hp. it was enough for planing a boat with 4 people. crew and equipment for the weekend. Subsequently, a second Vikhr-M was purchased for this boat, after which the problems with going on plane with a full crew and maximum load disappeared.

Thanks to its sharp bow contours and large L/B ratio, the Kazanka-2M was distinguished by its smooth ride in rough seas. Of course, when traveling at a speed of more than 40 km/h, when the impacts fell on the aft, flatter part of the bottom, the force of the impacts increased significantly. But by reducing the speed to 30 km/h it was possible to calmly walk against 1.5-meter waves. The “swirled” contours reflected the spray well downwards, and the cockpit practically did not flood. When sailing along a following and following side wave, yaw characteristic of ships with such contours manifested itself, however, due to the large dimensions of the Kazanka-2M and the slightly higher deadrise of the bottom in the stern compared to the same Kazanka-5, the yaw was unpleasant, but not dangerous. In general, “Kazanka-2M” was significantly more seaworthy than the then widespread “Progress”, “Krymov” and “Obey”.

The strength of the case was not satisfactory. Despite repeated pulling of the boat onto the rocky shores of the islands, the bottom did not receive significant damage. Shock loads from sailing in rough seas also did not cause damage to the hull structures.

Disadvantages of the boat

The main disadvantage of the Kazanka-2M is severe electrochemical corrosion of the body. The fact is that the linings covering the joints of the skin sheets of the bottom halves and the bottom and sides were made of steel. As a result, the duralumin of the skin at the joint was subjected to severe corrosion. 5

The body resisted corrosion for 6 years, after which, due to inevitable damage to the paintwork, corrosion took on a threatening appearance. The owner of the boat was forced to devote considerable time to repair work, gradually replacing steel parts with aluminum ones. To this day, the described “Kazanka-2M” is in working order, but there were years when the owner was unable to set sail due to the large amount of repair work.

Another disadvantage is the installation of motors on an external bracket. Due to this installation method, the engines were filled with water during rough seas, which led to failures of the ignition system. In addition, due to the excessive height of the upper edge of the sub-motor board of the bracket, the screws “grabbed air” during the wave. Having gone through four seasons with the bracket, the owner of the “Kazanka-2M” remade the transom similarly to the transom of the “Oka-4”, the bottom of the recess was made wide and flat and two “Vikhrevsky” tanks were placed in it.

Characteristics of the motor boat “Kazanka-2M”

“Kazanka-2M” was the largest and most capacious of those produced by the domestic industry until 1977. motorboat (currently out of production). The boat's riveted duralumin hull has sharp-chine planing contours with a “twisted” bottom - with a strongly varying deadrise from stem to transom. Thanks to the increased length and low deadrise of the bottom in the aft part, the vessel has good performance even with one 22 kW motor. With a standard propeller on the Vikhr-30 engine, the Kazanka-2M boat reached a test speed of 26.7 km/h with six and 38.3 km/h with two passengers on board.

Review of Kazanka boats of the fifth series

Kazanka 5M differs from the previous model in that it has an external transom.
But sometimes this new design could break off along with the motor. As a result, in the 5M model the transom was placed according to the standard layout. The 5M2 model was launched into mass production in 1978 and completed only in the late eighties. The disadvantage of this model is the twisted contours. During strong winds, the motorboat rams the waves with its nose and this creates a large amount of spray that splashes all passengers.

Kazanka 5M2 – technical characteristics:

  • dimensions for length/width/h – 4.5/1.6/0.72 m;
  • the weight of the boat itself is 190 kg;
  • maximum load capacity 0.4 t;
  • permitted engine power 55 hp.
  • number of passengers – 4 people.

Review of models 5M 3 and 5M 4

The modification of the 5M 2 model led to the appearance of the 5M 3 motorboat, which differs from the previous version in the ability to use a more powerful motor of up to 60 hp. Subsequently, the manufacturer of Kazanok decided to update the fifth series of motorboats and in 1989 introduced the updated boat 5M 4. Here the contours underwent a change, they were made convex-keeled. The bow was also changed, making the ship's bilge smooth. As a result, the speed data was improved - the maximum possible speed became 40 km/h.

Technical characteristics of Kazanok 5M 3 and 5M 4:

The Kazanka 5M 4 boat, whose technical characteristics significantly exceed previous modifications, was replaced by the 5M 7 motorboat. Its difference lies in the fact that in addition to duralumin, fiberglass is used in the upper part of the hull. Review of the boat Kazanka 5M 7

The 5M 7 motorboat is available in three different configurations: Fisherman, Tourist, and Comfort. In this regard, the hull was strengthened in the transom area, the contours were made smoother. As an addition, you can separately purchase the fiberglass block you need: hood, console, locker and others.

Technical characteristics of model 5M 7:

  • dimensions d/w/h – 4.6/1.65/0.88 m;
  • motorboat weight 200 kg;
  • maximum load capacity 0.4 t;
  • permitted engine power 50 hp.
  • number of passengers – 5 people.
